Another Eureka moment for me. Thanks Mark. On an unrelated note thanks for the comments on the Wilson ilock Bag. Actually went for the Founders Club, same concept. My Jumbomax Small grips fit snuggly. Any size larger than that could prove a challenge.

Great video, Mark. Can't tell you how many YEARS of good strikes I wasted trying to keep my arms straight throughout the swing b/c of old, faulty information... "keep your lead arm straight".

Mark, one tiny change helped me immensely. I stopped flaring out my right foot, went more square and I suppose I stopped going so far with the hip turn. Anyway, thanks!✌️

Just had a great session at the range hitting irons. That forearm angle is amazing. Took some commitment and trust as I felt like the face was wide open but wow my strikes were so much better and straight balls. Be interested to see if this continues with the driver.

Love your videos mark, proper coaching! Not very often I grab a club while watching a video but had to for this one! Just that extra external rotation of the trail arm helped the backswing feel more comfortable! Would love a lesson at some point!

11:23 wow look at that external vs internal rotation!! Incredible. IMO one of the hardest things to do is to accept that the trail arm should have some significant bend to it at the time of strike. To me it feels kind of unnatural. Also 20 degrees bent is so much!

Great video!!!! One other thing that happens if your right shoulder is internally rotated at address is there is no way you are gonna have a full shoulder turn. An externally rotated right shoulder allows you to have a consistent full easily repeatable shoulder turn. It seems effortless!

Brilliant and should quite possibly be the second video any golfer watches after getting a decent grip.

Thankfully I always intuitively gripped it correct. Still I am also guilty of hanging my shoulders so the backswing move can still be better. What helped me unexpectedly is an experiment with buying a compression shirt. I expected it to support my back but if anything it pulls my shoulders backward quite noticeably for better address posture. I can recommend it.

So my question is, if someone has some rounded/forward shoulder posture as there sort of normal position, they are basically screwed then?
@alestev244 сағат бұрын
That's when regular stretching exercises for the pectoral muscles become crucial, especially, if you work on computers a lot. Get a foam roller, which is long enough for the whole length of your spine, so about 95 cm to 1 meter for an adult male. One with a diameter of about 15cm should be fine. Just lay it on the ground, lie down on it, so that yout tailbone rests on one end and the back of your head on the other. Then spread out your arms and then just let them fall to the ground. Do it 3 times a day, 3 reps for about a minute at a time. It isn't really exercise, and you will feel a lot better overall.
