Welcome to fast and firm conditions of North Georgia and the rolling terrain. There are several courses with such green complexes that can absolutely drive a man batty. Hence why you need to drink beer on the course so you don't grind too hard worrying about knocking it off the front of a false front. But yes, avoid the Bermuda rough (never know what you're gonna get) and stay under the holes at all costs if you can! Can't wait to retire and play "flat terrain" golf in Arizona or Florida. No thank you Vegas! Should have gone to Painted Desert or Desert Pines which is a crown jewel hidden in the hardscrabble rugged landscape of east Vegas. But I am enjoying your slow torture. ;-)

I’d like to hit to the fairway that you can see and then play an approach to the green from there. To me it just seemed a bit silly to hit and hope at that green not knowing what was behind that rock? Dan lost his ball and I’d say you were lucky to find yours. Each to there own of course 👍

@@michaelangell9148 that depends on how you look at the day. I've never played well on high end courses, but that did not detract from my day at all. It was always a blast because of how insane some tracks are.
@alexgoudkov41095 жыл бұрын
I dont think this course is a good representation of strokes gained. Missing fairways here ends up in the desert so you can't really gain anything unless you hit fairways and with angled fairways it's even tougher.

My tee shot on 5, I was aiming like right of the first far side bunker (I play a fade so hoping it would come back where Dan’s landed), instead, I hit high and push it, and we wait an agonizing 10 seconds to see it go right in the river, pop like 50 feet off a rock, and land just in the fairway on the very right side.
@georgeclarke81374 жыл бұрын
(Donald not Donna). There comes a point where a course becomes too difficult. This is the case here. When we have two scratch handicap golfers struggling to get par, something is wrong. Beautiful landscape, but as a golf course, it is too gimmicky. Unplayable for amateurs. The pros wouldn't like it. They would say it's unfair. However, it's not as bad as Chambers Bay.

Nick Harvey would love to hit it where I want too. That is what I am trying to do now. 👍👍👍 Remember the main point here is none of the chat/descriptions would be heard by anyone if this was “real” golf. It would all be in my head. All I do is talk to the camera so people can try to understand what is making us make decisions. I think many have lost site of that. Which is quite bizarre.
