sorry lads but these golf vids where you play on proper British golf courses which are cold,wet and windy are so much better than the fantasy golf where you are sunning yourselves on courses abroad. These i can relate to. Sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm new to golf. At around 22:25 in the video Buzza Golf marks his ball on the fairway and then cleans it and puts it back behind the marker, not where the ball was originally. What is the rule on this? p.s. Great video as always! Love watching you guys play and enjoy it so much!

Winter rules allows you to lift and place on the fairway

Not trying to be a smarty, but given you said you are new to the game just to clarify Local rules allow it, usually in Winter, however not every course depends on the conditions, check at the Pro Shop prior.

No, the game is not stupid, some just have zero concept of what it's all about. It's simple really, hit the ball, go find it, play it as it lies and hit it again. Golf doesn't owe anybody good lies. In fact, it owes you nothing. I don't care if you hit it down the middle of the fairway, you are not owed a good lie. If your ball stopped on a slope, so what, go friggin play it down the slope. If James gets an eagle from another fairway, so what? The idea that golf must follow some uptight anal formula of fairways and greens to be legitimate shows a complete lack of understanding of what the game is really all about. The desire to declare luck as illegitimate flies in the face of life itself. Here's a tip. The ball only goes where you hit it. If you are upset that it stopped on that slope, don't hit it there.
