I believe thats the Dirty Jigs No Jack swim jig. Its definitely my favorite. Its got a solid hook and a good weedguard so you can throw it into some heavy cover. This method definitely works and triggers fish but after a whole day of alabama shaking my arms and wrists are worn out.

If you use a stiffer plastic boot tail, like a Rage Swimmer, it will give the jig a wobble so you don’t have to tire your arm out doing the Alabama shake

I'm trying to learn this now, and it's a lot harder than it looks to shake and reel at the same time. I tried it the first time today, I usually always just straight retrieved a swim jig with little success so I wanted to try something different. I had three strikes right in front of me and missed all three because I'm not used to using straight braid. For some reason I always used half ounce swim jigs exclusively. I don't know why it never clicked in my mind to use lighter weights, especially when I am mostly fishing shallower water. Just one of those things that never crossed my mind.

Fishing with OB it’s a custom built jig mainly for the color of the skirt. Z man makes a good swim jig too that I use 🤙🏾

even if it’s not , it looks exactly the same down to the degree of line tie .... so if you were looking for one i highly recommend that , or dirty jigs california swim jig or the no jack or finesse one they make. Can’t really go wrong with Picasso/Nichols/Dirty Jigs or Eco Pro Tungsten

I've always fished a jig that way I guess it just comes with growing up on the coosa.. but I'd like to see the difference it would make fishing somewhere like the Delta! On a tough day I started fishing the jig like a jerkbait and it set them off into a frenzy chasing it an eating it, I do what your doing but with a Texas rig along the bottom I like how you call it the Alabama shake though lol

I don't understand using different speed reels.... I use a high speed reel for every rod... just slow down my retrieve and action on certain setups.
