Genesis 32:22-32 The Wrestle of Jacob and God.
Intro
By the river, the night fell heavy.
A man stood alone, burdened by his past.
The silence broke as Heaven met earth.
Verse 1
He wrestled in the dark, his strength fading.
The struggle wasn’t with man, but with God Himself.
All his fears, all his guilt, were laid bare.
But he held on, refusing to let go.
Chorus
Face to face, he met the Lord.
Broken and humbled, he was forever changed.
A new name was spoken over him,
A blessing born out of surrender.
Verse 2
God’s touch brought pain, yet it brought life.
The limp became a mark of mercy,
A sign of the moment when striving ceased.
He rose, no longer Jacob, but Israel.
Chorus
Face to face, he met the Lord.
Broken and humbled, he was forever changed.
A new name was spoken over him,
A blessing born out of surrender.
Bridge
In the place of struggle, grace was found.
In the depths of weakness, love abounded.
He walked away with a limp,
But his heart was full of glory.
Chorus
Face to face, he met the Lord.
Broken and humbled, he was forever changed.
A new name was spoken over him,
A blessing born out of surrender.
Outro
The river still flows, but he walks in peace.
Marked by mercy, held by grace.
God met him in the struggle,
And he will never be the same.
