Great video! Markelle is my favorite player, and I'm so glad he was given a second chance, especially since I've been a huge Magic fan for decades. I think his shoulder is still bothering him to some degree. If he had nerve damage because of the TOS, that explains why it's harder to shoot the further away from the basket he is. His midrange shot is deadly and he is shooting above 80% on ft, which is a very positive sign. He is probably the most popular point guard for the Magic since Darrell Armstrong, and the fans are really sticking up for him. Glad to see Fultz is starting to get some attention outside of Orlando fans.

He certainly needs to continue improving to have a chance at being an All-Star. He can ratchet up the defense a few more notches, improve his finishing, get his open threes to league average, increase his free throw rate (he's only 20%) ... But even *with* that level of improvement we're talking about a guy along the lines of Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, Marcus Smart ... Or if you want to go more offensively slanted Jalen Brunson, peak Malcolm Brogdan, Fred Van Vleet. Guys who might make one or two All-Star teams in their entire career. But all those guys are *significantly* better shooters. It's pretty much impossible to be a positive impact guard in the modern NBA if you can't make threes unless ... You can get to the line. An interesting comparison is Fultz and Shai because they have very similar shooting profiles. (Fultz: 30% at rim on 68%, 13% three at 31%, 57% midrange at 47% | Shai: 28% at rim on 68%, 12% three at 34%, 60% midrange at 46%). Obviously Shai does it on much higher volume (32% usage vs 21%) but the thing that makes Shai All-NBA first team and Fultz a negative offensive player (56% TS vs league average of 58%) is free throws. Shai's FT rate is 53.5% and he makes 90%. (And he was 80% before this year.) If Fultz changed nothing else and got his FT rate to 50% he'd be at 20 ppg on 60% TS with a 23% usage rate. That puts him in the same neighborhood as Tyrese Maxey and D'Angelo Russell with way better defense. And if he can maintain his efficiency on higher volume, he's basically Shai. BTW I know Fultz generally looks to avoid contact at the rim but the league is filled with examples of guys who decided to drive more and be physical when finishing and massively improved their FT rates as a result so it's not completely unrealistic. Just this season Tatum, Shai, Monk and Lauri all improved their FTr by 25% or more from last year.

Fultz has been the conductor since he arrived in Orlando injuries are the only thing slowing him, i prefer the 3 ball but he honestly don't need it Allstar or not he's key for us...Go Magic!
