I am from st Vincent so looking at these does not surprised me at all, fresh and ready for the kitchen thank you so much for letting people from all over the world see what we grow in the Caribbean. Back home so people have in there back yards food ready to reap, i can remember so much farmers left home early in the morning without breakfast with there fork , cutlass and hoe to till the land after a few months depend on what they plant it's reaping time. But i can tell you farming is not an easy job.

Thanks Chris for the showing the market tour, it might be trivial to some but I enjoyed seeing Trinidad, my coworker at work is from Trinidad and her mother's maiden name is your last name, could be related if that isn't common last name! she happen to view your carnival videos missing going home this year.

At 4:02 what was the name of the bundle? I think it was parsley and green onions? Is that something that is traditionally sold together because of it versatility in Trinidad cuisine? Why didn't you show the doubles that you got?!?!? Man, I would kill for some authentic doubles! haha Sorry for all the questions, if you even answer. I'm just intrigued in the culture of other countries haha.

Mark Linden It is called chive ! in Trinidad and it is also know as green onions and there is thyme also in the bundle ! and yes it is a staple ingredient for cooking with in Trinidad cuisine !! :}:}
@iam_trinikimmy
@iam_trinikimmy 10 жыл бұрын
The bundle is called green seasoning & it consists of chive or green onions, a sprig or two of parsley & a couple stalks of thyme. Yes it is sod together, because those are key ingredients in our blended green seasoning that we use on all our meats/foods when cooking. You can get larger bundles of the same combination or you can also buy them separately.
