This has been a very interesting video. I have so many questions...what kind of prices do they charge for fabric? Did you buy the fabric for your wedding dress at those fabric places? How much do they charge for the coconuts? How do you get to and from the markets? Do you have to shop daily? It was wonderful to see Koree...you both smile so much brighter when you are together. Do you plan menus ahead of shopping? Are either of you fussy eaters. Is your apartment air conditioned? Thank you for this video.

I spent the first 5 years of my life in Greece. My dad was stationed there and my mom and I were able to live there with him. In most places where US servicemen are stationed there is a place to buy food called a commissary. Of course this was the late 60s/early 70s so no such service existed in Greece which meant groceries were bought in markets not that much different than the one you're at. My mom told me her landlord helped her learn how to shop there and specifically told her to only buy meat that had flies on it because that meant the meat was safe to eat. Her next bit of advice was to wash all market meat well before cooking. All of this was 50ish years ago so who knows if the same logic holds true today.

Wow that’s so interesting!🥰 thanks for sharing that memory with us! Yes washing and double washing is so important ♥️♥️
