why do you takeaway 1 in the market growth formula?

In the book they provide a different formula so I’m not too certain on this formula. I double checked with my business teacher who told me that this video provides an incorrect formula. FORMULA : new market size - old market size ------------------- X 100 old market size

however, they both provide the same answer but the one in the video is more difficult to remember but each to their own!

@@calm7932 Look it's the same thing because you can separate the formula faction into new/old - old/old x 100 And obviously old/old would be one and hence new/old - 1 x 100
