The first column should have only O and A, as its the start of the profile for the period. Alphabets like D, E, K, J, etc., should be placed in their subsequent columns according to the period. Market profile is formed by shifting all letters to left, it's like falling bricks in tetris, to land on another brick. That's when bell curve is formed and value area is identified.

Hi GK, It depends on Visual adjustment. For Nifty I use 12 and for Bank Nifty I use 40. Try between 0.1 - 0.3% of Price. This will work in all cases.

Hi Laxmikant, Dedicated books for Order flow and Volume Profile are almost non existent. The one's which are out there are very basic in nature. For Market Profile, read everything written by James Dalton. You can use the same concepts in Volume Profile as well. Hope this helps.

Thanks, for this wonderful and lucid video. These 30 minutes are packed with nuggets of information that are layered in such that with each view one picks up even more. Kudos! I had a query: At 26:50, you mention while evaluating the tails, if of the three consequitive profiles the previous two have large selling tails, while the current profile generates buy signal, MP can indicate the presence of sellers. Hence the buyer can reduce the position sizing. Further, you mention that this info is not present in Candle/Bar etc charts. This part is not clear. In a candle chart one can see the prevoius resistances because this is where the price was rejected. So, unless succificient volume (or moving averages have moved up etc) is not present, it is unlikely that the buying signal will be generated. Please clarify

I don't like to approach it this way. Once you begin stereotyping what market may do, you generally tend to miss out on opportunities. The only time I will consider "Time bound" approach is when a strategy demand it. Else, I am open to trading any time during the day. With Weekly options, lot of these assumptions will change with time. Just my personal view and I may be wrong.

In comparison to 60's & 70's, we already have AI today which should have disrupted how Markets functioned. But for someone trading in 70's, 80's or even 90's, Market has not changed much. Only thing that has changed is ease of access to Markets. Coming to your query, AI will never conquer markets in my opinion. Had this been true, we would have seen impact of same till now. Even if I consider AI conquering this aspect, a good trader will always find ways to adapt.
