I am really wanting to know how you got your crochet business started in terms of licensing. I am Texas based so I would love any info! I’ve messaged a few other Texas based crochet business owners but no one has gotten back to me :(. If you don’t feel comfortable answering that’s 100% understandable. Thank you! Love your videos!! ❤

The only thing that I have done is gotten a tax payer ID number through Texas Comptroller so that I can pay my tax returns quarterly. You can choose to get an Employer ID Number, but it's steep in price (over $300) and really only needed if you employ other people. So other than that, I haven't gotten any licenses or anything for my business. I think some festivals/markets that want vendors require you to have insurance or some sort of license, but most of the time the license requirements I see are for food vendors. Normally the only time I think you would need a license or permit would be if you're selling your products on public property on your own (for example, if you set up in a public park when no event is going on that you would've paid a fee or gotten permission from an entity to set up there). I hope that is all helpful!! I've only been doing this as a side hustle since August 2023, so I'm still fairly new to a lot of things as well!
