Thank you, so much, for all of your effort to produce this video on a holiday AND after a rough night. Hope she continues to improve and you all get rest tonight. I’m glad you gained so much from this market and I’m looking forward to part two. Happy Mother’s Day!

Thank you, Jessie! I'm so grateful for what you share through your content. Pricing has been one of my biggest pain points (and I agree that bouquet making seems a lot more appealing until you're faced with the task - especially at a busy/stressful time) I felt really encouraged and more confident to raise prices for Mother's Day because of your previous video. It really made a difference! Thanks again and I hope your daughter is fully well soon 😊

This comment made my day! I’m thrilled to hear that you were able to raise your prices on Mother’s Day successfully! I mentioned in the end of the video that I have a part 2 around my evolution of thought towards a profitable bouquet. It’s actually more cost focused so addressing the other side of the equation- hopefully that resonates with you too when it comes out. My daughter is still sick but on the mend- thank you for the well wishes!

Your daughter will always be your baby. I also had a sick kido going into Mother's Day. But We are awesome moms that can wear all the hats. Great job! We had a sell-out weekend, which felt great! Congrats to you, too!

Yes she will! I'm sorry you had a sick kid. It's so tough juggling a crazy floral holiday without a sick kid. Congrats on a sell out weekend. Hopefully you got to relax afterwards. Our kiddo is still sick but on the mend and I hope yours is too.

🤩 This was such a great breakdown, Jessie. And I actually spat out my tea when you said 'It takes balls to execute' when it comes to pricing. Ain't that the truth 😅

Aww thank you!! And for the record, in my head I meant to say it takes guts but… came out differently 😂. But why is pricing so hard!! 😭

Love this entire video. Thank you so much for all of your interesting content. I look forward to the “evolution of what makes a profitable bouquet thought process” that you mentioned at the end. I so appreciate your logical approach to everything. Thanks again. PS, what brand/model of coffee machine, if you don’t mind sharing. That is something highly valued in our household as well. 👩🌾☕️💐
@bareflowerfarm8 ай бұрын
Thank you! Appreciate the kind words! Our coffee machine is a La Marzocco GS3. This is nearly a commercial level espresso machine so overkill for the average household - we actually visited a cafe in Bucharest, Romania who was using this machine in their small cafe. Eric used to hold barista sessions for students on this machine so having a double boiler was important. But if you're in the market for a luxury espresso machine, the Linea Mini is a good one. Having a machine like this is a bit like having a Ferrari of cars- it requires maintenance and cleaning. Let me know if you have any questions or what to chat coffee :D

What size are your pre-made paper tulip sleeves?
@bareflowerfarm8 ай бұрын
8x8x4. Note that it's hard for me to use them in normal mixed bouquets bc that's a smaller ish sleeve
@sarahpopovic38608 ай бұрын
So what is your %humidity in the fridge for the tulips that you are trying to maintain. Also I have found your new videos really good. Learning something new almost every video!!!
@bareflowerfarm8 ай бұрын
The humidity was around 60% in the fridge which is clearly too low. I believe Marie from @Floristsonfarms said somewhere that she actually keeps a bucket of water in her fridge to hold tulips longer term and that makes sense. I can't get the fridge anymore beyond 70% without adding things like water. But, I also do think that if I had wrapped in a paper sleeve, that would have helped a bit! The stems lower in the crates did significantly better because their humidity was "trapped"

I have no idea if it will work, but have you tried the tool they make to strip herbs that might actually work on flowers because they are studier
@bareflowerfarm8 ай бұрын
Ohhh that's a great idea!! I didn't even think of that. I'll check that out.

Be careful with the vinca! I was pulling it out of my garden all day a few weeks back and I got a horrible rash from the sap.
@bareflowerfarm8 ай бұрын
Oh no! I had no idea about that with vinca. I actually bought the vinca from a fellow grower at the co-op so it was already conditioned without the sap!

@@bareflowerfarm that's great! I actually didn't know it could be grown for boquets.
