@@emilioaymat5651 well, being realistic, if they don't sell they don't make money, and if they don't make money then they can't pay for the bills. Plus, when you are selling your house, you want the seller to do their best job.

Selling a $1M house would make them $60k, more than the median annual salary of someone in America, so they could live comfortably selling just one house a year. Car salesman are similar, vehicles they bought for $3k are listed for $18k, so they only have to sell 2-3 a year to stay afloat.

Not too far away from the truth. I live out in the country, homes sold for around $170k in 2018 now that the city people are starting to move in during the pandemic. Now homes go for around $800k. I live near Seattle

Many of you here will not believe the following statement, but I invented the concept of selling homes via video as a high school student in 1983. I had access to the first VHS camera system delivered to our high school. I had a flash of brilliance to video all the features of homes being sold in the area, so that buyers could tour them via video at the real estate office. I contacted one of the local real estate companies and they really liked the idea. So the agents would drive me from house to house, as I did not have a driver's license. And I always used a tri-pod for every shot and did all in camera editing, as there was no way to edit video at that time. I charged $20.00 a house.
