That is, CB messaging to the peasants and setup the robot trading "machine" to dominate trading and based on CB messaging. Lay the debt trap: Easy money for 10+ years dependent upon continuing growth to afford the debt. Debt saturation when creditors and debtors don't like the risk levels, so growth slows. Post covid stimulus for one final deluded debt binge, to maximize the future pain. Supply destruction via rules for covid and climate and war sanctions, plus continuous fear campaigns and loss of trust (in everything), means growth slows even further, which is the trigger for the trap. Love your channel. I miss Emil though. My friend and I have been discussing. We are interested but otherwise amateur observers of monetary policy. The question I have is ... What if anything restricts the amount of Eurodollars in circulation? My hypothesis: though Eurodollars exist in off shore ledgers and are therefore hidden from US based regulators, counter parties are willing to transaction in Eurodollars because they believe they will eventually be able to settle either in USD or in USD denominated assets. If this were true, Eurodollars would be limited in supply in much the same way that M2 is limited, as a finite multiplier of Fed bank reserves. The alternative hypothesis and what it sounds like you are saying: though Eurodollars are denominated in USD, they are completely separate from USD in every way. The only thing limiting the expansion of Eurodollar supply is agreements between the large counter parties in this system. If that latter hypothesis is what you are saying, I have a hard time understanding why any parties would trade in this system because it seems like the system would be prone to chaotic and large swings in the supply of Eurodollars and this the value of the Eurodollar. My friend and I have been trying to figure out for many months what you are actually saying. We would be delighted to get some clarification. If you're ever in orange county, there could be libations waiting as a reward. Otherwise you will have to be content with the acclaim of a small but devoted subset of your fan base.

The FED can not dictate Trade with World Trade, I agree. The US State Department sanctions appear to be influencing Gas Prices. The Ukraine situation that has been a policy decision that extends back to at least the Obama Administration, but Victoria Nuland was involved in Clinton as well as Bush Administrations. The common thread of applying pressure on Russia, appears to be the cause of the current association of Asian Producer Nations? The Brits lived in fear of such an alliance that involved India and Russia, and they lost millions of Troops in efforts to overcome such an alignment of Trade producers. The US apparently is overextending the CIA Budget as the Bail Fund for Kurds in Iran appears to be increasing? Brazil, Bolivia and Peru seem to be acting with less respect for the US than they did shortly after The Condor Project was employed to provide a docile and respectful Colonial Latin America. The CIA budget does need to be extended to provide all of the support to keep Cheap Bananas and Coffee appearing in the US? The Crop Reports indicate rising Corn and Bean prices after the dry spell and storms in the Midwest, lowered crop production. The ability to limit cost of fuel in Europe with price caps and quiet rebates that will appear as Producers complain about profits, will be increasing costs as the markets become limited by the competing products from the BRICS areas. The New Producer Group, does have a large reserve of Minerals, and food products, that will avoid US and European Sanctions. It should be an interesting Year......

I understand everything you are saying, Jeff, and concur. But for me, the shit is really about the extensive damage and destruction on the ground to people ordinary and to businesses small generally from the past three years, and whether the costs to live - especially shelter - are gonna' get permanently baked in. Regardless of all the shocked externalities, and inept political agencies' interventions - of which there were many and much, the real question I see is whether anything - such as the purported 'Deflation' to come - can ever bring this back out of whack, or if a 'Great Reset' in assets and prices will satisfactorily mean an improvement in the prospects in terms of an ordinary person ever again having a job that would cover their costs of just having to live. ??? So far the locomotive has been far bigger, and crashing way more slowly, than in 2008. And I'm unconvinced that the World we now reside in is not perennially worse.

here's a theory. in general, entities that sell products never lower their prices, unless they have to. once they figure out they can charge significantly more for their product they will keep prices high. perhaps the Fed is forcing demand destruction in order to force prices to come down, because it knows that even after supply problems have improved prices will not come down this time unless they are forced to come down

Notice the Export pries decrease? The Producers appear to respond to economic incentives that drive overall prices down. Gas producers are counting on at least a $200 billion revenue gain from extorting European Consumers with LNG. The ability to sell some Loss Leaders that improves their prospects while it diminishes the suspicion that there is collusion between Producers and the US State Department? The Iraq invasion seemed to demonstrate a bit of an odor of another Gas War?
