So much of the economy is tied up in the wealth effect that if that were to reverse the economy would falter materially. It's really backwards of what you were taught in your Macro and Monetary classes. I.e., that markets are driving the economy and not the other way around. I'm sure the Fed has some sort of understanding of this which means that they do have a vested interest in the levels of equity and real estate markets where they used to just focus on the debt markets and more to the point the UST market.

My portfolio has performed exceptionally well this year, but I am concerned about the possibility of a market crash and losing my gains though but, it's all on a brighter and splurging side for Gold, should I look that way?

Gold is often seen as a safe-haven asset that can protect against inflation and economic uncertainty. But like any investment, it carries risks. To determine if gold is the right investment option for you, an investment advisor can help you weigh the potential benefits and risks of investing in gold. They can also help you create a well-diversified portfolio that includes gold as part of a broader investment strategy. An investment advisor can help you decide how much of your portfolio should be allocated to gold and select other investments that can complement your gold holdings.

Investing in gold is a reliable choice, and I plan to keep buying more to make up for my losses. While silver is also a good investment, my collectibles are not as similar. It's important to have clear investment goals and educate yourself on the type of investment that interests you. I work with a financial consultant regulated by the SEC, and started small, but eventually accumulated over $800,000.

proper research, good analysis and luck is what you need to make profit in this constant market decline.
@Fleming1154 сағат бұрын
In order to make profits from trading you need loads of experience and a well defined strategy, which most traders don't have. If you trade without the proper preparation, you're most likely to lose your money. Identify the buy/sell ratios and identify the market leaders and most importantly. Diversify! this will help you spread risk.

@George-f8h2 сағат бұрын
He didn't say bitcoin is not going higher. In fact, he predicts it will go up to $120k range before it falls due to deteriorting economic conditions. His thesis is the the U.S. economy isn't as strong as people think. The stock market and bitcoin typically move in tantum when they should move in opposite directions, since bitcoin is often touted as a hedge against inflation like gold. That means when the stock market crashes in a recession, bitcoin will likely crash. Only after the economy improves and after the fed has lowered the interest rates enough to stimulate the economy will bitcoin and stock price rebound.
