It also looks to me like a massive bear trap with how it made it back over 585 on SPY on good volume. I think it is going to squeeze higher on the QQQs and SPY. Too many may short. It really looks like a classic bear trap. I'm buying into a Santa Rally here personally. Plus from my standpoint the economic numbers were goldilocks last week. Inflation was as expected and the retail sales were strong and Empire Manufacturing was very strong. I think Monday is a rally day.

i think it’s all about which stocks has gotten all the buyers (ahem TSLA) attention. it’s still over bought IMO. But i do believe it will get to 380 within a few months. so i’m bearish on TSLA, but will be bullish on NVDA until day of earnings. I gotta agree with Matt tho on the SPY.

@@belchmelch Yeah, but I'm talking Monday. That is a pretty strong bottoming tail off the 4 hour MA and technical support. I think NVDIA closed its gap to 140 and bounced strong too and I think it moves up to 150 huh and consolidates in the upper range prior to earnings. I just think we get the Santa Rally from here personally. SPY made it back over the 585 level. That is a good sign for a bounce here Monday.

Definitely on the same page as you. NVDA will be an interesting inflection point later in the week. If we can't break the 150 call wall, the options underwriters will have a lot of stock to dump from their hedge against those options. Will be telling whether 140 and 136 continue to hold as support levels. If we fall through then things get ugly. Otherwise I'm expecting a drive up into the low 160s.

I think since we made it back over 585 on the SPY on strong volume and Nvdia filled its gap to 140 with a strong volume and bounce that we get a nice comeback rally on Monday. I'm a buyer of this dip because I think that was the bottom before the Santa Rally into year end.

We haven’t even had a legit pullback more than a sharp correction for months We have been up only since sept 18 rate cut I think the market shave made everyone complacent Even after hitting major targets of 600 Now it’s higher I think we could range up here but the top is about to complete and bear market will be obvious 2025 They will blame the markets on trumps policies Watch Now that everyone is over complacent. We could see a massive sell off any day

They need to keep an insane growth for a very long time to really be worth their current price. Still things indicates that it is on its way up, having breached past all the call walls, with there being no appresiable wall on 65 next week (according to max pain). As much as I would love to have it for long term, it is just not worth it at its current price. That said it does not mean that I am unwilling to capitalize on this immense rise in price, it just means that I need to consider it from a different perspective and likely with a shorter time horizon.

Yea, I'm frontrunning it. Large sellers of premium will be incentivised to not allow close over 150. When the market is strong but someone is defending a level, the price has a habit of closing just below that level :)

IMHO regarding TLT, everyone is looking for TLT to go lower, based on what? The economy is slowing, companies are starting to layoff workers, and unemployment may skyrocket again once Trump takes office, due to his plans (i.e DOGE, massive deporations). The Fed won't have a choice but to lower rates. Drill baby drill will keep a lid on inflation for a while. Stocks will benefit, especially IWM and S&P 500. Real estate may benefit later in 2025.

@@TradeBrigade We will see. I agree on QQQs. All Big tech formed rather significant bottoming tales on 10 minute charts. From what I am reading NVDIA is going to crush earnings and get to 158 post earnings at least. Also, if you look at NVDIA it bounced pretty strongly off its 140 support which is right at the bottom of a major channel. I think it runs Monday and into earnings pushing QQQs up. I also like the set up on Microsoft to rally Monday. I think we move back up lie 1% at least Monday.

Semis were down this past week mostly because of AVGO, AMAT, AMD and QCOM .... not because of NVDA. Nvidia was just following the market down on Friday, but was flat most the week. NVDA does not control the market or even the semis. Last earnings, NVDA was down around 9% on the day after earnings, yet the SOXX was up a bit. Please get your facts straight. If anything, AVGO has more influence on the semis than NVDA does, most of the time.

Yes, semis were definitely trading independent of NVDA but, once NVDA rejected off of 149 multiple times on the higher time frames, the NQ stopped having support and fell with it. NVDA has been timed up with the NQ selling.
