I think a lot of people are feeling optimistic because the economy is strong, unemployment is low, and corporate profits have been pretty solid. But there’s always that question of sustainability. I mean, how long can things really stay this good?
@DianaTownsend-kj5kj2 ай бұрын
Exactly! It's that old saying, "What goes up must come down." We've been in a bull market for quite a while now, and history shows us that markets move in cycles. It feels like we’re in the "calm before the storm" phase. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the gains, but I’m also cautious about a potential downturn
@sebastiaanthijn79822 ай бұрын
but let’s not forget that even though we’ve had a long bull market, the global economy is different today than in previous cycles. Technology, innovation, and monetary policies have shifted
@cherylhills32272 ай бұрын
Central banks, for example, have become more proactive in stepping in to stabilize markets, and that’s given us longer periods of growth. But yeah, no one can predict the future
@christopherherbert24072 ай бұрын
It does make me wonder, though. If this is "as good as it gets," maybe now’s the time to start pulling back or preparing for some kind of correction. How do you even plan for that? I mean, sure, you could go more defensive, but you don’t want to miss out on gains either
@rodgertim28812 ай бұрын
That’s where having a financial advisor can be really helpful. An advisor can look at your specific situation, your risk tolerance, and your long-term goals. They can help you come up with a strategy that protects your downside while still allowing you to benefit from market growth

Only one area of concern on the 254,000 jobs created. 1. 16 of the last 17 reports have overstated the jobs numbers. 2. In fact ,they just announced last month their numbers were overstated by 818,000. 3. Mfg numbers are down for the past 3 months. 4. the two largest gains were in government jobs and Food Services. These details will make it hard for the Feds to decide what to do. Rate also went down. So what happens if they don't cut rates more in the short term? Long term really good!! Great work Chris. Very complicated time with election 30 days away!

You are WAY OFF. In fact, there were MORE jobs than initially reported: The change in total nonfarm payroll employment for July was revised up by 55,000, from +89,000 to +144,000, and the change for August was revised up by 17,000, from +142,000 to +159,000. With these revisions, employment in July and August combined is 72,000 higher than previously reported.

I have learned from past experience that basing market judgements and decisions solely on rumors and hearsay can lead to detrimental results. In 2020, I fell victim to such a situation and was left holding worthless positions in the market. To overcome this, I sought the assistance of a professional advisor and made significant changes to my portfolio. Over the past two years, I have worked with this advisor and have seen a growth of 750k in my portfolio, demonstrating that profitable opportunities can be found in both bullish and bearish market conditions, it is a matter of strategic investment approach.
