The problem is neoliberalism, corruption, monopolies, political donations, unfair tax systems…. Politicians should be paid only on the basis of the improvement in wellbeing per capita they bring about.

There's no need for a reform of higher education. The responsibility lies with the prospective student to choose a line of education that has market value and is at a price that is and/or will not be a financial burden to themselves and/or their parents. That includes the approach for those who can read the books, and have no need for college :-)

Markets work great for the US, with China as a giant sweatshop, where US goods are made in China and bought by US consumers, are subsidised with Chinese money, and is an ally of US corporations to keep capital-asset ratios at a maximum.

Market's don't always work perfectly? it also has to do with regulatory decisions, for instance you wouldn't keep interest rates at 17% when the world economy was down, there's no point in the old "aging problem" thing we all know there are many people coming to western country's to work and the population is growing,, It is the scientists that will bail us out in the long run
