Hmm, my oga you needs to enter inside naija very well to see what starting from the scratch really is. You will see men that went to a local school, lived in geto and nothing to be called an inheritance or anything to start something with and they will go with zero (0) account balance to to billions example are some of our great musician who has given us (Nigeria) a name. I think some are misunderstanding what it means to start from scratch. It means everything came to you from your own ideas and energy. Was his founding loan offered to him or did he ask for it? Did the government beg him to make contracts or did he ask and then receive? No man does anything alone. His workers did much of the labor. His various partners and creditors gave him the ability to expand his operations. But he created and exploited his opportunities and that is the point to take away from this.

We all know how postwar Nigeria embarked on a federal reparation spending spree where artificial business oligarchs were created in the north and west excluding completely the easterners. The goal was to help non- eastern people catch up to the business levels of the easterners for fear that the easterners should never dominate the economic sector of the country. Even though it was done as such, the easterners due to their natural gifts for business have been able over the years to still bounce back in their way from scratch and all over the world where an easterner is found. That’s called Biafra power!!!

This is the result of hardwork, dedication, good interpersonal skills and sincerity. Dangote cement remains the best and most reliable product in Nigeria and whole of Africa. A man that doesn't sleep at night, doesn't even have a wife or girlfriend, unlike our generation of Nigerians that sleep too much, imbibe a culture of laziness and dont value hardwork. Hardwork, skills and dedication pays off. I see a lot of haters here saying government supported him, so what? He brought in the initiative before the government mildly supported him. In an era of free markets and stiff competition, Dangote is a silver lining for Nigerians and Africa as a whole. We need to learn from him, that hardwork pays off, commitment and dedication pays off. Not serving as stooges, hooligans and thugs for Politicians. Political power had never brought a group out of poverty to affluence as Somwell said, rather it is economical power that does...
