Working on a firewood triaxle load of logs. Mostly oak. Like 4 different barks and color variations. lol. Lost all confidence in what type is what. At this point it’s just OAK firewood lol. Have a nice weekend!

I love the cheastnut oak ( white oak family). it's strong and the color is fantastic when finished. my top seller in cutting boards and serving trays. nice milling. do you sell it or build with your lumber? based on the color that's not chestnut oak, yes i agree it's a red oak. the bark looked more like black oak.

I would say a red oak of the chestnut oaks I've seen they usually have a lot thicker bark but I could very well be wrong
