Honestly, the level design of that bathhouse is subtly clever. By the time you get there, you've gotten so used to having to go around things that you forget you can just go straight up. So when you see the broken pillars spaced out, you just assume you have to jump between them. By the time you figure out you can just go over them, you've already practiced the jump enough to make it through the rest of that segment. And even if you figure it out right away, those pillars are still there for you to safely practice.

It’s nice to see Mark getting challenged by a rage game rather than brutally beaten with a pool stick by it while it claims it’s a philosophical metaphor. I think it definitely helps that this game has MUCH more forgiving controls compared to getting over it’s slippery and almost sentient sledge hammer mechanics.
@Selrisitai9 ай бұрын
"Much more forgiving controls." You mean much _better_ controls. What makes Getting Over It a rage game is that its controls are designed specifically to be bad, or perhaps they're just intentionally not refined. There are people who have mastered them by adapting to the crap-factor. This game appears to actually have legitimate polish and quality controls. There's hardly a moment where Mark falls that it isn't obvious he made a mistake.

I love that Mark goes, I won't play Rage games anymore because it reaches a deep and primal rage that I have in me and I don't like that part of me, Then immediately after starts a new rage series on the level of Getting Over It

The soft red lighting is perfectly alligned w his current sanity. 😂 THE DONG ON THE HITTING HIS HEAD XDDD 11:33-11:38 Talk abt luck! XD but also, that French Laugh. 😂 There should be a clothes-based climbing game (like this) and you collect the clothes and wear them.

19:20 you didnt loose all ability on timing your jumps. It's a double pendulum. That's why the jumps arent working anymore. The forces and their vectors are compleatly different then with single pendulums.

You know, you'd think I would be used to this by now... Mark can mess up on some that a lot would consider "easy" (Especially if he gets mad, but that is human nature to fuck up while frustrated). Then at 17:17 he pulls off something that when I first saw it, I was for sure going to see him fail and rage a bit. Nope, he fucking destroys probably one of the harder spots in this game. Lol.
