The wolf spider is something of a hunter. It only moves at night, and if the player recently travelled somewhere the wolf spider explores, it'll follow the trail. So you essentially lead it back to your base by staying up at night and wandering around. If you just stayed at the strange machine all night, it'd never travel there.

@@jackmontgomery346 Yeah, I dunno why they stubbornly refused to give more inventory slots. It's one of my biggest gripes with the game. You can add all these upgrades for 'carry more arrows, carry more stuff, carry more consumables' as much as you want, but when a good third to half of your backpack is just filled with all the tools and weapons you need, that in no way stack.. it all feels very pointless towards creating space. It's not so much the stack sizes that are the issue, so much as just being able to carry more of different items The simplest fix would have just been to have a bandolier that made your hotkeys actually store the items you put in it. I have no idea why they never added that, it solves the whole issue

@@FluffyDragon Literally my entire issue, and one thing I hope they'll eventually get to. Between a shovel, axe, and hammer just for exploration/resources, food items, 2-3 weapons (for the different types) as well as a bow and a couple arrow types, that's a good chunk of inventory. Not to mention carrying an extra gas mask and shield, a torch, canteen, and that leaves you with little room to carry anything you may find

I see a lot of comments about the stinkbug voice, but not enough people appreciate Wade's spider voice. 18:15 Not only is it a pretty funny voice for a spider, Wade also came up with witty responses and I think he based his responses just on Mark's audio, but didn't really see what was even going on at all. I know that you record these in large sessions, but I figured I'd give some tips anyway. Blocking attacks reduces the damage you take, but there is a way to completely negate the damage. If you initiate a block at the exact moment the attack would land, you perform a 'Perfect Block', which gives a 100% damage reduction to that attack, doesn't drain any stamina (meaning you can't get stunned), and may stun the enemy. Learn the attacks of the different enemies and practice your perfect blocks. Perfecting this skill will allow you to solo basically anything in the game, even wolf spiders. I would recommend using a Weevil Shield whilst learning, as this will negate all damage on a non-perfect block (this still drains stamina and can stun you). Fiber Bandages heal a small amount instantly, and then heal a much larger amount over time. Get into the habit of using a single fiber bandage after most combats. There is a way to drastically reduce the crafting costs of fiber bandages, but I'll leave that to you guys to discover. Spears give one of the highest dps of all weapons, but very little stun. In a group, I would recommend having one person use a heavy weapon, such as the spiky sprig or red ant club (which was unlocked this episode), while the others use pebblet spears. Focusing on one particular weapon type for combat gives advantages to the player using that weapon type, but I won't spoil any further. Good luck in the Yard!
