i tried it in godmode like seriously it just gives you infinite lives and nothing else you still die but the only good thing is you can die trough the map let and let your blood show the way or remember the map is kinda better to do it with no godmode because it gives you like 1000 points only thats why is better to remember the map cause then you can go on normal mode and just remember the map like me i tried it and no blood was on the walls and i get or you get if you try it you gona get extra points like 5000 and they are named perfect points for som reason

To people saying "Do it in god mode": The game was designed to be ridiculously hard and part of its appeal is the fact that it IS that hard, it's a game designed for people that want to be challenged. The people that want him to godmode it are evidently the type of people that care more about the destination than the journey, that is, they would cheapen the gameplay just so they can say they won. I can't say why the game devs put godmode in the game, probably as a sort of a baby-mode so that people could practice the platforming area of the game and memorise the levels, but the overall game is SUPPOSED to be hard. I respect Mark for being the kind of person that doesn't immediately spring for the "I win" button and who actually appreciates a challenge, but then he also stuck it out through FNaF 4-20 mode and FNaF golden Freddy mode so he's probably just the kind of person that can enjoy a challenge in general. Which I like a lot, to be honest, because an increasing number of gamers are turning into the kind of little wimp-ass bitches that scream "MAKE IT EASIER!" at devs constantly instead of trying to improve.

At some point, it doesn't matter if you had Godmode on. You'll just keep dying over and over again, with lack of the "continue" screen which means absolutely nothing anyway. The devs put Godmode in because they wanted to give the players a chance to scan the level, like in "dark" which is virtually impossible without it. Don't try to bullshit us with your "I beat the game without it and everyone's a pussy" play, the devs have said themselves that Godmode was meant to be used tactically, not for "spineless chumps who want to play on baby mode".

That's exactly what I said, that my guess was that godmode was used to memorise the levels, mate please read properly. Don't be so vicious, I haven't even played the game because I know my memory is horrendous and I, personally, am no good at platformer games, and I didn't call anyone a pussy, don't presume to know me just because you read two fucking paragraphs that I wrote. I didn't say "Spineless chumps", and when I said "baby mode" I meant because it's obviously significantly less difficult when you can see the level than when you can't, and the normal game is based around not being able to see the level properly so it's a hell of a lot harder. It's no reflection on your skill if you practice the level in godmode first. Maybe it was a poor choice of words but it wasn't used maliciously. My entire point is simply that people are shouting for Mark to do the game entirely in godmode, and I made the statement that I had respect for him because he attempted these levels without using it. I didn't call anyone a pussy, maybe I was a bit aggressive with my language but you seem to have taken it as if I was personally attacking you, which I wasn't. I wasn't attacking anyone, except people who see an easy option and immediately say "I'm gonna go easy" without even trying it in the normal way. If the devs say it should be used to memorise the level, fine, I'm 100% behind that, if they designed the game that way, then it's the way it should be played. But playing the whole game, only in godmode, and claiming that's "Beating" it, it just seems cheaper than winning it the way the devs intended it, to me. I mean what's the point in the blood mechanic in the first place if you can just paint the walls red with absolutely no penalty to the player? As for the "Bitch-ass wimps" comment, I will appologise for that part. I see a lot of people on a lot of forums that seem to think that if they can't win a game, the developers are the ones in the wrong so they hound the devs endlessly until they make some kind of game-breaking change that's basically an "I win" button just to appease the crowd that didn't want to put in any real effort, and that aggravates me significantly, and I tend to consider those people to be similar to people who play a game just so they can say they won it, which, as I've been writing this, I've kind of realised isn't the case. And I apologise for that.

DWI moonturtle I am well aware of what you meant by your comment. You believe that Godmode is intended for players to scan their level, and that it's a shortcut to an easy victory. I am simply correcting you; after several hundred thousand deaths and no victories whatsoever, the devs eventually gave the players the use of Godmode, and even that has its downsides so it is perfectly justified to use it. It doesn't make you a wimp at all, it just makes you a tactically advantageous player. And you'd be surprised how easy it is to hit the nail on the head in judging a person's character through what they type in the span of a few paragraphs. For instance, I can see how you're starting to get defensive of what you typed in your first comment, taking back several things you said. That tells me that you're insecure. And you can't seem to stop yourself from using an overly aggressive choice of words, which tells me you hold your opinions in high regards. I could go on forever, but I have shit to do. Doesn't necessarily mean I know YOU, it just means I can tell what kind of person you are from the way you respond to me.

Actually I pride myself on being able to be proved wrong if faced with compelling evidence to the contrary of my opinion and my aggressive choice of words is more to do with the fact that I get carried away when I'm typing about things I actually care about, but you're right about me being insecure but then I think "insecure" could be used to describe half the planet at this point. Although I have to say, when you consider anyone that is able to take back or apologise for their mistakes to be insecure, which is generally considered a negative trait, I can't really see how you'd expect that to encourage people to make concessions or admit themselves to be wrong. You're basically saying that by admitting myself to have made a false or irrelevant statement, I am even more wrong, so the only other option I'd have would be to be an arrogant bastard and carry on pushing that false point. Also, I've said it twice now and I'll keep saying it: I don't think that people are wimps for using Godmode to scout the level first, if the game was made so that players should use that mode to scout the level first then there's no problem with that, in fact I don't really think the word "Wimp" can be applied to video games in general because video games aren't exactly a fucking skydive, nobody ever broke down crying in fear from a level of super mario brothers, I simply think that when you play the whole game in godmode, *without going back into normal mode at all*, is a cheaper experience than playing the game how you intended, which as we've established about 3 times between the two of us, is *using godmode to scout the level, and then playing from memory in the normal mode.* We have both made this point, my opening argument mused on it, this is something we're agreeing on, so I don't get why you're still arguing like I'm just railing against anyone that so much as touches godmode.

The enemy at 9:36 reminds me of a hoptimist. For those who don't know what hoptimists are, they are these cute little toy sort of things from Denmark that are like bobble heads but aren't bobble heads. They have these springs and... just look them up. I recently found a 48 second video of two of them just bouncing with little speech bubbles that were added. When they are bouncing, you instantly, if not almost instantly, become happy. They are great for bad days or days when one plays a game like this. :)

I have never claimed that it is easy to make a game, but like I said, this game is only hard because you can't see where you're going untill after you've died a couple million times. That is a cheap way to extend gameplay, whereas Super Meat Boy earned all it's gameplay hours legit by having difficult stages where it was your own fault if you missed a jump. So yes, this is just a poor mans version of SMB. Tell you what would have been a cool concept though? If you could see what you were doing and this pig went through a slaughtery to get his girl back.
