Now I can see why they don't just stick to costumed performers all the time. These robots can: 1) Very casually and smoothly slide across the floor (Toy Bonnie) 2) Disappear extremely quickly 3) Hide under a desk silently 4) Can literally fucking teleport across rooms (FNAF 1 Bonnie and Balloon Boy) 5) Detect if another animatronic is behind them to make them visible (Mangle and Withered Bonnie) I think when the FNAF movie comes out it will become canon that the animatronics can do 15 backflips in a row, but killed someone doing said backflips.

Technically, Mark COULD be a second Freddy. In the first game, they stuffed him in a spare Freddy suit. So it could be that they think Mark is just a spare Freddy suit or a backup.
