Pretty much sums up my experience with every survival game ever. You are either at full health and swimming in medkits to the point it is a hindrance because it takes up inventory space, or you are on the brink of death without a medkit in sight because you left them all behind to free up inventory space. A second person perspective would be controlling one character while seeing through the eyes of another. I wouldn't say this is a second person perspective because you technically control both characters. Because of this limitation, second person games just wouldn't work. The closest thing out there is a mission in Driver San Francisco where you are controlling a vehicle being chased, but you see through the eyes of the chaser. You aren't controlling the chasing vehicle, but given the objective, your vehicle is always in view

I probably would've got the selfish ending first too. Partly because the movement of the possessed people is so robotic. It would've been cool if once in a while they struggle to resist the possession. The game also feels very desperate and difficult, so it's natural that your first playthrough you'd be focusing on just winning/survival

I actually like how the subjects move so robotic, to make you forget they're real people. And you used them to save your own skin and then left them behind to die. The ending reminds you that those subjects were real people and not robots, that impact on the player was shockingly brutal and well done.

I agree with you it would be cool to see the subject try to resist being controlled, yet in one letter, I think it said they improved the possessing masks so subjects can't resist control while wearing them. Maybe the developer will make a universe out of this game and show off the struggles of the previous, less controlling masks on subjects.

I feel that the reason Mark did not save his subjects in his first run was because he didn't really bond with them. Furthermore, the game does not really bring up the fact that they can be saved so he just thought they were just gone and unable to be saved and just left.

The premise of this game is exactly my cup of tea, I waited until I could sit down and really watch Mark play start to finish. The concept is so cool that nailing the immersion was crucial, and I believe the developers created a great setting. The atmosphere and tension are really well done. Game theory: The 3 test subjects aren't human! They are entities too! Just look at what happens when you kill them. They poof out of existence. They don't fall and die and add to all the bodies laying around. And all they leave behind is the mask. We know that's not what happens to humans, as there's loads of bodies around the facility. But the test subjects don't leave a body when they die? And when you compare their death animation with the 'vanish' animation of the entity, they are very similar if not the same! So escaping alone is actually the best ending! As you prevent the 4 entities in the facility from escaping to the surface.

Im probs wrong but arent the mask diffrent? The documents said the subjects were wearing a pcmask but they never said the entity had one too. If the the entitiy did have a pcmask on that would mean the guy would be able to control it too right? Also the paper said when the test subject dies and evaperates like the entity it lets out alot of energy but when the entity evaperates it never said in the reports that it lets out energy like the test subjects. Also I dont think the entity can take over multiple bodis at once sooooooo.... I dont think they're the same. This might get edited bc i suck at typing...
