He did so after his youngest boy and his daughter, Elizabeth, died to his creations, and went kinda nuts for vaguely debatable reasons, and decided it would be fun to be a serial killer. So, this end has him saying he made the robots to kill kids, they killed Elizabeth, and so he killed Henry's daughter and a bunch more kids, leading to the game story and a glimpse of Circus Baby, Elizabeth's killer and robotic vessel from his Sister Location. The Circus Baby Sister Location was canceled and shut down after Elizabeth died, and the robots were sealed away in a basement, as shown in the namesake game.

This game is so much more intense than any FNaF game, maybe with the exception of Help Wanted. The key detail in this game, besides the visual and sound design, is the cramped area you're in. When the office is smaller, the animatronics are closer. And yes, the jumpscares are traumatically scary.

If you specifically take the sound files for lookout!.wav, I.wav, am!.wav, and here!.wav and pitch them down 5% you get the same lines as what Fredbear says. It fits in with the other various Half Life, Portal and L4D sound effects scattered thru the game .
