I actually had a "don't press the red button" moment once... with an ACTUAL red button. A big, 4 inch wide, mushroom shaped, red button. I was in the Army. We were training. In the training sight I had stopped by the side of a building to take cover. On this building was this big red button. I don't remember if it said anything or what, but I was not intending to PRESS the button, just touch it lightly. This thought passed through my brain in a fraction of a second. Next thing I know I have tapped the button, there is an alarm going off, and the exercise GRINDS to a SCREECHING halt. I pull the button back out, hoping it stops the alarm and that the alarm was not being monitored from the central exercise monitoring tower. No such luck. The alarm cuts off, my First Sergeant comes walking over, and I catch a butt chewing. Not... a good... day. :-/ I was stupid.
