not a question - Spinal Tap every day of the week, year, decade, millenium No disrespect to Al - but he has hardly hewn his name into the living rock of rock history. As a Christian, I look to bands that have inspired my faith. Al Yankovic offers nothing, whereas Spinal Tap's religious masterpiece "Rock and Roll Creation" demonstrates their commitment to the Lord. Indeed, "Stonehenge" was a parody of pagan rituals and the dwarves that always seem to hang around at them - a performance designed to shepherd the lost sheep of the audience into the fold of Christianity. Amen.

Spinal were clearly just a silly and snarky idea of a band bitching about metal but after Bad News came along it suddenly became a rockumentary. Interesting that the Spinal people originally wanted another notorious metal hater Penelope Spheeris to direct it but maybe her hate came across too obviously and they were wanting to mask it by being funny about it instead.
