Hi Mark. Greetings from Oz. Right in the middle I see chaos & bedlam. But then, as you move out of that vortex the colours seem to be spreading love & peace to everyone. The colours are now relaxing, becoming lighter & brighter. As you worked on this creation from the centre I could feel myself becoming more & more 😮 relaxed. This is another tremendous work of art I would be proud to have on my wall. After the week I've had, I found it very beneficial & now I'm ready to take on the world. Working with iridescents is like Christmas morning. The wet version was gorgeous, like a wrapped up package. The dry version is the gift inside. Was it the addition of the black and white on top of the puddles that gave the painting its depth? The blending and distribution of colors is wonderful. This painting makes me think of a nebula. It’s a massive cloud of gasses and dust which creates a palette of gorgeous colors that seem to shimmer. The space theme is reinforced by all that black negative space. It puts me in awe of what the universe is capable of. It also puts me and my problems into perspective, which is something we all need at some point. I think that’s why I like your art so much. I have to step out of my world and enjoy the now and all its beauty. Maybe it’s a little Pavlovian, but I feel myself relaxing just watching you blow the base color over the canvas. 😊 Thank you for sharing this journey with you. 💚

This is so pretty Mark. Haven't tried those paints but will try them. I posted one of my pearl paints paintings in the group if you haven't seen it yet. I used paynes gray for my base color. My brother fell in love with it so he got it. I need to do these types of paintings on bigger canvas. I really love how you did this one.

I think even though they do the same thing, they are so different. The decoart ones give a shimmer and an almost instant effect (you can see some of the colors right away).

Hiya - you read my mind. Yes they can! I have a tutorial coming out soon with exactly that method. The result will show a background shimmer with a deep lacing effect over the top. Coming soon I promise
