This was really 'the Walk of Life' for me! In August 2020 I was recovering in the hospital of Nieuwegein from two life saving surgeries and a partial paralysis after the first (aorta) surgery. I had to learn to walk again with a walker (rollator) and every day I walked a number of times up and down the corridor of the nursing ward as an excercise... One day I had put my music I-pod in the basket of the walker and had the big Sony headphones on my head. When I started walking through the corridor this song was playing! I could not walk normally anymore and started swinging and dancing behind my walker... 😊 All along the corridor I was applauded by nurses, service personnel and cleaning ladies! From not being able to walk a few weeks earlier to dancing along the corridor with a walker was appreciated by everyone and not in the least by me... ❤ So... here I watch the song that made me swing and sway again!

My Daddy was 94 when he passed away in the fall of 2022. He held Chet Atkins in reverence and probably owned all his LP's. Dad was at every Atkins concert that was within 100 miles. I introduced Dad to Mark Knopfler. When he learned of Knopfler's respect for Chet Atkins, Dad became a Knopfler fan too. (But never really came to appreciate "Money for Nothing...")
