Unusually light hearted and cheery compared to the Swedes I have worked with. Nice video too.

I have a barn full of styrofoam. I didn't know there were so many uses for it. I will be copying your technique for making mountains (in a previous video) and for making my platforms. You make it look so easy. I am now a subscriber to your channel. A furniture company used our dumpster to dump all their styrofoam and I scrounged most of it, so I've got a barn full of it. Great job on that platform. :-) Rusty in eastern Tennessee (Witherington Place Railroad)

Thank you! A barn full? Then you have enough for twohundred and twelve layouts! 😄

You went through several steps to have something look like concrete. I used cement in one step, and it looks like real cement.

Great! I put some platforms on the layout and should plaster them now. For the styrofoam I used a japanese saw. Not a bad cut. But I fear I´ll have to bult a styrofoam-cutter anyway.

I have been a long time follower of your tutorials and have learnt a lot. So thank you! But lately I’m not finding the videos as amazing as your early ones like making rockface/mountains, water (waves) using toilet paper, waterfalls etc. Perhaps you could take a little longer to make the videos but teach us some really cool stuff? Would love to see scratch built bridges, houses, railway platforms etc. But hey this isn’t a criticism...you are doing a fantastic job so thumbs up

sambitbanerjee Thank you for watching my videos and giving feedback! There will be at least one new water video coming up this season too. I try to cover the range of different techniques needed to make a pretty scene. Most of those techniques are known for most experienced modellers like you. It also sounds to me like you have gotten more skilled as well, which is really great! That is the utimate purpose with my videos. Brand new technique (I think) is my wire trees, which the first video will be published in December.

Remember that you need a syrofoam cutter.
@hdtraincam6 жыл бұрын
best glue for Styrofoam is interior latex paint it penetrates the pours and tooths in mechanically experiment put white glue on a piece and good quality latex paint next to it the white glue or polyurethane glue will pull off the paint not so easy ..

To me it still looks pinky shades of the color. I recommended next time try with plastic details and paint them and also dirt the platform by weathering.
@marklinofsweden7 жыл бұрын
+Anders Gullberg Hi Anders! Thank you for commenting. I can ensure you that it for sure doesn’t look pink. Weathering is made in the video between 5:38 - 6:37. Have you watched the entire video? But, I understand from your comment that you prefer other type of plastic. If so, you should continue to build your platforms with other types of plastic details (since Styrofoam also is plastic).
