Thank you. I was one of the commenters who asked more information about the bench work. I look forwards to watching your next video on the staging yard (shadow station). I want to learn how you connect the layer to the bench work and how you plan your ramps (or helix) with regards to the bench work. I think I will be doing my own bench work in about one year from now so this is perfect timing as I work on my plan (the renovation of the train room was finished recently).

printable idea: partially demolished/abandoned structures (idea for a demolished building just broken walls left or a partially destroyed factory) these would go great with the excevater from the scrapyard. speaking about scrapyard, maybe crushed carsh with a car crusher (us/eu) love the videos, keep them up❤

Very neat woodworking and incorporating drawers is a great idea.

I never understand why you have made thing difficult with the frame work! a straight forward rectangle would be so much easier, still have the draws, cut the top any shape you want and if a overhang is too big add a support. That would be a lot simpler and passably cheaper.

Nice to see some construction started but at least you managed to fix the house foundations, costly as it was. Kind of important to get that done before the layout! Happy new year.

Why do you use toilet paper for this? I thought that would be the worst possible paper to use, but perhaps I'm missing something.

Hi Ranjit! Thank you very much. Best widhes back to you and your family! How are things? We were discussing a visit to you in Chennai before the pandemic to build on a layout, or do I remember it wrong? What are the plans now for you?

So unfortunate about your foundation! I guess they just don’t build them like they used to - even in Europe! I grew up in 1960s Germany, and construction was everywhere - solid, built to last back then.

actually, it was quite common in the past for buildings to not have foundations but only being carried on their walls.

Hi Martin. I have some old Marklin coaches but they don't have passenger seats. I looked and couldn't find these seats separately to buy and fit in my coaches. Do you know where I can find them on the internet? Any codes or references? Thanks and I loved your video. Very interesting.

Unless you want a bug infestation and future rot I would coat the heck out of those with plenty of lacquer first. The last thing you want on your model or in your space is a springtail infestation or the like from eggs you can't even see.

Don't talk about how there's no such thing as a lawn all the same lush color. I mean you're right of course but there is a disturbing number of rednecks here in the States that have tied up a shocking amount of their manhood to the claim that their lawns are all the same lush and uniform shade of green. These nutters spend billions a year on products they claim ensures this and they will fight you over any suggestion that there's a patch that looks a little different. The video is an awesome primer though my friend. I surely appreciate it. I don't do trains as I don't have the room but I wargame and build almost all of my own terrain. I've been wanting to up my game for a while now and this is a great example I've now bookmarked.
