Hi Norm and Tina! Costcoholics unite. My wife retired after working there for 30 years in a high stress job. Keurig Hazelnut pods on sale now! Our favourite store in the world. Costco has the best products for the money. I just bought that black shirt yesterday. It’s a new colour for Kirkland. PS I sleep better at night knowing that I have a 100 rolls of toilet paper lol. I am a regular Costco shopper, too, and find they have good quality products at great prices. I have a bag of that wild salmon in my freezer-yum! I even get my eyeglasses and tires there. And dont forget that some costco locations have a gas bar, with lower priced gas.

I just rejoined Costco when I recently retired. What great suggestions! I am in Virginia so I do not know if you have the same items exactly, but I enjoy the premade couscous salad in the premade section. It has some dried cranberries, almond slivers, red onion, and greens. It is in a square tub in the salad section. The dressing is in a packet so you can choose how much dressing you want or eat it plain. Very healthy and delicious!

I live at Costco....at least 3 times a week! It is needed when I am feeding myself and three boys who are 16, 19 and 21! Love your choices and I buy the same food there too. It was once said the Ottawa Costco sold the most TP of all Costco in the country. Sometimes I’m not convinced of the value of purchasing large quantities. Unless you are an institution or have tons of storage space. It can be a false economy.

Great video! My husband and I are also empty nesters from Canada, and we still love to shop at Costco. So many great buys...they have the best fruit, .especially berries and watermelon. We also like their frozen brocolli and cauliflower rice, as well as their eggs, butter, olive oil, Parmesan cheese, low carb bread & wraps, organic sugar, almond flour, kids pjs, tires, TVs, eyewear, bathing suits. The list goes on and on. We love Costco!❤😁

I love Costco. Not everything is a great price though. Your eggs at 2 dozen for $7.39 ( just under $3.70 each) You can buy at Shoppers on Thursday with senior discount at $3.99 each minus 20% = $3.19 a dozen. As Tina stated, it’s all about saving money. Milk 3 bag pack $6.08 minus 20% = $4.86 And if you have a optimum card you collect points for even free groceries.

The trouble with Costco is that the quantities are too much for a retired couple. I now have a lifetime supply of mustard lol! I find that you have to be careful because often the local supermarket has better prices, especially on fresh fruit, eggs, and meat. However the pharmacy prices can’t be beat.

I get most of my clothes at Costco and love that broccoli. Tastes as if it was freshly picked. We have the executive membership and shopping there always pays for our membership with money to spare. We love their fresh chicken kabobs that are seasonal. So good

We love the frozen vegetables and fruit, no pressure to eat it by "x" date. Our closest here is Sam's Club and they have some great deals too. The greatest in store deal is eating at the cafe, we got a large pizza for $8.98 (10 slices) and they give you a drink with it. The sundaes are $1.58 and they are full of berries or brownies, we split one if we get them they are so big. More like a treat day for us, we usually eat at home. My wife loves that cooling blanket, she was so happy this morning saying how much more comfortable she slept. And I love it too as I don't have to hear a fan on all night in addition to our a/c. Thanks as always! Blessings!

We love Costco too. Interesting to see things that are available in Ontario that we can’t get in Nova Scotia. One thing to watch out for is buying spices in those large containers. They can go bad before you use them all.

Nice video topic. Costco! We are in Canada too and love Costco. I liked how you went through your haul. Keep these haul type videos coming. To save on groceries at Costco, we buy whatever vegetable is on sale (fresh or frozen), fruit on sale that week, and even bought the Kirkland Signature frozen salmon on one of those weekend sales that go from Friday to Sunday. It was $10 off. We are not a large family. Costco items help us with our work lunches so we don't go for fast food restaurants, and eat better. Looking forward to the butter chicken recipe too ;)

well done! At Costco, I've been buying their 2 lb Wild Atlantic Cod, the Kirkland Broccoli and the Kirkland French Roast coffee beans, which I grind at home. Plus their fresh mushrooms. I've bought that Dublin cheese before. Very good cheese.Yes, I buy must of my paper products there also. In the Spring, I bought a new dishwasher at Costco; the price included delivery, installation and removal of the old one. Great service.

Salmon can be cooked right from the freezer in an instant pot, it only takes minutes and is very tasty. There are also recipes on line to cook the broccoli with it at a different time sequence. I have added a slice of lemon to the top of the salmon and into the water base as well as different sauces.

Just did our Costco run today. got the Costo roasted chicken $5.99 always a good buy. Chicken Tikka Masala already made huge portions of course and they also have Butter Chicken. They do a British "Coastal" cheddar cheese which is very nice. Got out for around $200 passed on the clothing this visit but the clothing is cheap and good quality. All the best from the "Geordies".

Great! We go to Costco once a week. The quality is good and their return policy is super. They have also cooked chicken tikka masala and butter chicken. They also sell sweets- Ras Malai and Gulab Jamun in October/November time. Enjoy your purchases!

We always get a a roto chicken which makes 4-5 meals + broth for our dog. You can buy whole frozen wild salmon at superstore everyday for 1/5 of what you paid but it is pink. Don't forget the $1.50 hotdog! Please do a video on your butter and curry chicken.

The prices at Costco Canada seem higher than here in Houston, after adjusting for the exchange rate and metric system units. The selection differs by location. I love the frozen stir fry vegetables and frozen precooked flame grilled hamburger patties.

Admittedly it's difficult to compare prices between the 2 countries......not always as simple as using the exchange rate. Minimum wage in Texas is $7.25 per hour......in Ontario it's $16.55 per hour.....so not as simple as applying an exchange rate as these are 2 very different economies.....

I only care about the price I pay, not Costco’s profit margin. Another plus, Texas has no sales tax on food.

We don't understand the fascination with Costco. We had a membership for 1 year. We bought a gas stove and what a fiasco that was. Then if you buy in bulk - then you have to store the bulk. You have to be able to commit to walking a lot longer distance than the usual super markets in the store and their parking lots. And you have to figure in the cost for the annual membership on each of your purchases to get a truer reflection on costs vs. savings. But to each his own! Have fun, and I enjoyed your enthusiasm!

Although we love Costco , we also love Giant Tiger and Walmart and Amazon we buy where the deals are and it’s fun looking for them . We have found though that if there is a problem they refund no questions asked which we like Cheers 🍻🙂🌺

Living in Newfoundland with a big shrimp fishery and our Costco has the farmed shrimp not the Atlantic shrimp hopefully that will change.

Costco is only a great deal if you can eat what you buy before it expires! This is hard to do if there’s just two of you or you live alone, no? My husband’s wardrobe comes from Costco too.😂

You can’t find Garam Masala in the grocery store? Walmart doesn’t have it there? Our Freshco has a great international aisle. So does the Superstore. I can get it in all three places…maybe not that brand though. I’ll have to look for those shrimp next time. I didn’t know there is a Canadian shrimp industry! I bought a 75 pack (I think) of a PC k-cup box, and it was in 3 bags of 25. It says once open, consume the bag within two weeks! Even at two a day, I couldn’t do it LOL. Swimsuit…LOL. They have winter coats and Halloween costumes now! Go to Winners! How come we can get Kerrygold cheese but not the butter? Can’t beat Costco for supplements!

Keurig (or any "pod" type system) was the biggest profit boom for the coffee industry. To Tina's point......1.36kg of coffee for $40........that same amount of ground coffee can be purchased in a tin at Costco for $23 (Kirkland) or for $19 if you buy Folgers...... Convenience comes at a price! :)
