Great rationale from Marko on each of the component choices.

Great interview and reveal of what a top pro uses, and why. Marko is a outstanding veteran professional who is humble and respected by fellow pros. Keep those videos coming.

GREAT interview! He seemed a little self-conscious regarding the bike's paint job, but I think its a HOT. There were a lot of great details highlighted, and I appreciated him sharing the rationale for each. Also, I can confirm that the Ballista helmet is NOT hot... due to its better than average ventilation. Very comfortable too.

Great interview! I've got this bike and was going to get the xxx shoes, but I'm unsure if it's possible to do a flying mount with them. It's not that I'm so competitive that I need to save a few seconds, but I don't know what else I would do. Running through transition with bike shoes on my feet seems problematic for a number of reasons. Any ideas?

Odd to put the ceramic speed coated chain, but keep the narrow wheels on, and the normal chain rings. I wouldn't be using the "cocaine chain" on a training camp, especially if you're using all the training kit everywhere else.
@D.Eldon_6 жыл бұрын
_@z.browning_ - The CeramicSpeed coating can't be reapplied in the field and most racers who use these factory-coated chains, use a new one for each race. So Marko is probably just using it up until it's time to either clean and re-lube with conventional chain lube or discard. I doubt he'd ever reuse one of these chains for another race. In my opinion, a better chain lubrication system for racers who want to reuse their chains and keep their costs down would be something like Molten Speed Wax. It should be almost as good at reducing chain friction as the secret in-house CeramicSpeed coating. And another option for ceramic bottom brackets and wheel bearings is HSC Ceramics (Australia). They use super-high quality Grade 3 Si3N4 bearings the same as CeramicSpeed but their prices are less than half as much.

He did mention that he hasn't used his TT bike since his last race in 2017. He's only just started using it for 2018, so I believe it's still got the chain on from his last race. He will then switch out for a new one come race day

can't find rear storage box anywhere, where can I buy it without getting a new bike? do they make them for other brands?
@markthrelfall35776 жыл бұрын
This is specific to the bike, made by Bontrager. Trek's in house brand. I imagine you can buy it as a replacement part, but I'm not sure how well it will attach to other brand bikes.

The last few videos have had bad sound balance. Could someone look at providing consistent, loud sound?

Let’s see something more exotic. Diamondback Andean, Tririg Omni, Anthony Costes Cervelo with Morf tech bars, etc.

The front break looks broken...
@D.Eldon_6 жыл бұрын
_@Tobias D_ - I noticed that too. But I don't think it's the brake. Rather, it looks like the aero covering over the front brake is cracking. However, it's difficult to know from these videos. I've ridden through water and mud and seen similar rivulets splash onto my fork and brakes. They looked like cracks, too, until I washed them clean.
@tobiasd22646 жыл бұрын
D.Eldon I posted this at the beginning of the video. I think he did not align the breaks yet, but also many parts of the bike look like they had taken some beating (front break cover, seat post, the spare box and the area near the bb (but I think this is due the osymetric chainrings) ).
