This is so obviously a Marko song ❣He has his own sound, as do Nightwish and Tarja. I'm excited to see which song Tarja will write for Marko to be featured on. Apparently he already promised to be on her next album, we'll see! :) Tarja and Marko together have always been an incredible blend of voices, such good chemistry, I'm really happy they're collaborating again. The moment where they put their foreheads together, singing "but you still believe in me" is so sweet. :') Every time I listen to the song I'm just bopping my head along, vibing.

Thanks! I love seeing Marko and Tarja making music again! This is a great song!🥰🤘 I like the message of this song and it fits well with both Marko and Tarja. They both have probably felt like an alien at one point. Marko has said so about himself. And Tarja, she kinda has been an alien in this metal genre. She was, and still is, very different with her operatic vocals and classical background.

Marko said he wrote it as a love song for his wife, but it ended up uniting old friends. Musically, I think it fits in very well with the songs from Marko's 2020 solo album, Pyre of the Black Heart (2019 for the Finnish language version). "Voice of My Father", "Stones", and "Dead God's Son" are a few from that record.

You aren't alone, Mrs. Coach, in being drawn to Marko's very unique voice. It may not be conventionally beautiful, but there is a warmth, a human quality that just kind of encircles a lot of people. As you get to know both the Nightwish catalog, and Marko's individual catalog, you will find that Marko can do some really amazing things with his voice, to the point where, sometimes, you wonder for a minute if you are really hearing him. As for Tarja, I like her better now that she has matured. Her voice is richer somehow and you can tell that she has gotten to know it better. Marko will be doing a song on Tarja's new album, and I am looking forward to that, too.

This is a great song that has now become their song. When Tarja and Marko sing it live, they are very emotional. I like Marko's rock style that goes in his own direction. In return for her singing Left on Mars with him, Marko promised to join whatever she asked. So we'll probably get another duet of theirs soon, this time composed by Tarja. The video was probably shot in Spain, where they both live. Tarja's voice has changed a lot since her days in Nightwish. In her solo career she uses different kinds of voices. She has developed both her voice and her music very much, which is also very different from Nightwish. I highly recommend listening to something from both Marko and Tarja's solo careers. For example, Victim of Ritual from the Woodstock festival in Poland by Tarja or Stones by Marko.

I have been at the recent Nightwish concerts without Marko and need to say you are partially right. Nightwish is still my favorite group, yet I missed Marko alot. It felt like Floor was overdoing a bit by taking over his parts in special songs, like "Ever Dream" or "Planet Hell". The dynamics were just lost. And there remain much more songs, Nightwish just cannot perform anymore without Marko or an adequate guest vocalist. Floor's duets with Troy's more folk-like voice were great, yet I didn't get the same goosepumps that I got from duets with Marko and Floor.

Sleeping Sun is an early Nightwish song but this cover version Tarja did years after Nightwish is spectacular. Her voice will stand up the hair on your arms and give you chills. De hecho todo el concierto de Circus Live 2020 es tan épico y fuera de este planeta ese concierto fue totalmente en vivo sin coros pregavados todo era en vivo con una orquesta magnífica en el escenario entre el coro estaba su hermano Tony Turunen con la cantante de Metal Clandestine y otras figuras del metal más en ese concierto Tarja estaba festejando sus 15 años como Solista sin Nightwish encima de ella una de las canciones más representativa de ese concierto es la canción Innocense donde el protagonista principal es el piano bueno en realidad toda la orquesta se destaca en este concierto pero en esta canción en específica la sobresaliente fue el piano digno de video reaccionar 🤘🏻🌹

Glad to see you give Marko and Tarja this reaction. It's great to see time has healed any wounds left from Tarja's exit from Nightwish. Tarja and Marko bring so much to anything they do. I read they are touring Europe together this summer. How cool is that? You guys really need to react to Nightwish and Marko doing the Pink Floyd tribute song High Hopes. Coach, if Mrs. Coach hasn't heard Pink Floyd do the original High Hopes you might want to have her listen to it first. The Pulse concert version is prolly the best Pink Floyd version out there. Marko does it in his natural voice and absolutely crushes it. Marko at his very best.

I wouldn't call it a reunion, because the song isn't one of Tuoma's symphonic metal. It's Marko's prog metal. Tarja's vocal development has continued since Nightwish and she now sings in styles that she refused to do in Nightwish. She's better today than she was then. Marko had the operation before Nightwish. The first songs by Tarot are still the original voice, which sounds much more boring. He sings like many others: Tarot - Stigmata (I Feel For You) unplugged by Marco & Zachary Hietala

I don't think she refused to, she just hasn't quite figured it out yet, back then. But she had already started to try out different singing styles for their Century Child album because Tuomas' music needed a softer, less operatic sound that you can hear especially in the studio versions :)

In a recent interview Marko admitted he hasn’t spoken to the Nightwish band members since he resigned from the band. Sad if true. Reuniting with Tarja is cool. But it gives rise to the inevitable questions around conspiracy theories as to his “real” reasons for departing the band

Right now, Mars is a planet populated entirely by robots. I watched a sweet interview segment with Marko where he talks about how he and Tarja reunited. I can leave a link if you’d like, it’s only about five minutes long. Another song that Tarja is featured on is “What About Us,” by the great Within Temptation. I don’t think y’all have seen it, and if you haven’t, I recommend it. It’s a great song with a good video.

Marko's vocals are good on this. A pleasant song, but doesn't stand out. The group After Forever which featured Floor has a song called Face Your Demons. There is a version that also features Marko. It is called the alternative version. After Forever also covered the Queen song Who Wants To Live Forever and the Iron Maiden song The Evil That Men Do.

I’m not Tarjas fan in this one. Or Any other stuff she has done since NW. And I saw them both live last fall. Well… her voice live, is not that impressive anymore. And as a Finn, I must say, that this is maybe a very calculated move. They know this is gonna sell and get atension. And thats okay. They have familys to feed. It’s nice to see Finnish metal succeed.

We understand, but we don't really have a dedicated time slot for groups. We have well over 50 artists on the channel, with hundreds, if not thousands of others requested. There are some we try to feature regularly and Nightwish is one of those, and their stuff has fallen on weekends for us, but we don't want people to assume that a day is a Queen day or BLACKPINK day or Nightwish Day, etc. Having said that, we have played Queen members solo stuff, and BLACKPINK solo stuff, just to name a few, on the days we normally give those groups in a week. We recorded a double feature of Nightwish today that will be coming in the near future.
