I said it on your 7 Days to the Wolves video and I'll say it here along with everyone else; Now that you've heard the English version and have familiarity with the lyrics, you should absolutely listen to the Finnish one, "isäni ääni" There is something about it that connects on a deeper level in his voice, even though I can't understand a word of it. Also the video isn't blurred out so you'll be able to see it better. Also I should point out as I've discovered from others, the parts that read "Sing my song and I'll be with you", it's a mistake. The lyric is "Sing my son, and I'll be with you".

Marko released this album twice. First in finnish and then in english. I believe, some songs are translated from finnish to english and some the other way around. Finnish version of this song is "Isäni ääni" (most prefer it). This video was made for the finnish version... It is written about his father, who died in 2012. His father used to sing for him and he sang to his own sons (twin boys born 2001). So very personal. NWSU. 🤘😎🤘.

Yep, though I don't speak a word of Finnish, I LOVE the Finnish version the best. It just seems to "fit" perfectly.

Markos father was an english teacher and also Markos teacher. He died of alcoholism. His father used to sing to Marko and his brother bed stories, where others did read the books he sang them. The lyrics are so beautiful. In the Finnish version I think he has a little more feelings into the song.

I watched that live in Germany during his solo tour. Marko is such a great singer! And the guy on the keyboard has some fine long hair and a great shampoo, which he uses for great effect 😂. Reminds me of Tommy ...

This was a tribute to his late father whom I believe was a former school teacher, who used to sing to Marco when Marco was a young boy.

Hey Debbie, that is a powerful song. Marko had his own band Tarot with his brother years ago. Marko can sing with the best of them. He has a project now called Northern Kings with him and 3 other awesome singers doing covers of old pop hits. You should check it out. 🥰

Love this song! Marco has some serious singing chops and a keen ear for music. I would highly suggest listening to it in it’s original Finnish as well now that you’ve seen the translated English version. There’s something special about it in that language even if you don’t understand the words directly, it really communicates the emotional content really well. Should also check out Stones, one of the other songs from this album, maybe even do a double reaction with both the Finnish and the English.

Glad you love Msrko! You should hear this song in Finnish! Marko sings w more feeling, in his native language. The album Pyre of the Black Heart was 1st released in Finnish then later in English. I own both, and I listen to both! Marko had a rough relationship w his alcoholic father...but he sang and played w him as a kid. BRW, he has a 6mo new daughter! Also, adult twin boys.

Marko! He has some wonderful work of his own, this song sounds more emotional in Finnish, even if we don't understand the words! When you realise as you get older, that your are turning into your father. My dad told me to shoot him, if he ever got like his dad! (Not so far).

YES!!Markoooooo...❤❤🤘🤘 the finnish version is even more emotional...please listen to "Isäni ääni". I was enough lucky to see Marko alive at Turku, Finland. "Raskasta Joulua"-tour, which happens every year before Christmas. Many metal musicians and singers play and sing Finnish Christmas Carrolls in "metal" style...awesome! Thank you for your great reaction 🤗

He-et-ala. The i is pronounced like e. The video is blurred because the original video is sung in Finnish and would not sync up correctly singing in English. Marko has lots of skilz. He writes, sings, plays, and is also a producer for his own stuff and other bands as well. Enjoy your day with dad!

Check this one on your own, no reaction please: MARCO HIETALA - LULLABY Marko plays acoustic guitar and sings Black Sabbath's "Planet Caravan" to Jukka's, the original Nightwish drummer, newborn baby daughter. It must be Jukka's wife whispering: "She's watching so closely. Love at first sight." Marko now lives in Spain with his Brazilian wife and their 6 month old baby daughter. Her first child, Marko has 22 years old twin sons. The other one, Miro, plays the drums. Marko, his big brother Zachary and Miro have a band, All Hietala Power Trio. They play Black Sabbath covers. Marko is building a home studio, and plans recording his 2nd solo album. His old band TAROT, with Zachary, makes a comeback after many years. They start with a small charity event. It was sold ou fast, so there will be second night.Tarot hasn't been active since the drummer died.

🇫🇮❤ This is Marko honoring his father, who was a teacher of the English language & also loved music. He used to play acoustic guitar & sing lullabies to Marko & Marko's brother Zachary (actual name Sakari). He also had a huge music collection from which the two brothers could always choose something to listen to. Marko's father died in 2012 & suffered from alcoholism, which is something Marko had also suffered before becoming alcohol free. Marko has also suffered from depression from time to time. The first such episode was in 1996 when his girlfriend left him & he was also diagnosed having a polyp in his vocal chords. It was operated the same year, but the surgeon also accidentally damaged a nerve leading to Marko's vocal chords. It took a long time & practice before Marko could sing again, but unfortunately he lost his high falsetto vocals. P.S. This might be of interest: Floor Jansen - A Symphony of Life (Chapter 1) kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5-vdp6DYqqHeqs

You are still missing Blind Guardian - Bard's song & Valhalla Wacken 2016 from the big reactions. Right now Melissa Bonny is making waves. She is the singer of Ad Infinitum and was features is Fuerschwanz's Warrior of the world unite. Like others said ..... original is in Finnish, that's why Marko is "blurred" in the English one. Marko unblurred ..... : kzbin.info/www/bejne/gaHCnIGshbafp5o&ab_channel=MarkoHietala (the Finnish one). Btw. the word "skillz" ..... the taught me wrong here in the Netherlands. They always said to me there is a "s" at the end (my bad 😜)
