It amazes me how many people who claim to be Christians come on and bash people because they don't agree with this or that!! The Bible is very clear about the fact that God is love! If you're concerned about someone and their walk with God, pray for them! And as far as 'the devil's best' - the devil can't create, only copy! God created music in all its forms. Man can choose to misuse it but it all belongs to Him! I seem to recall people mocking David for playing and dancing before the Lord too...good thing they weren't the ones judging at the end!!

I agree that We as Christians should speak the truth in love, but we should still speak it. Th style that most (mark that word!) CCM musicians use is worldly, sensual, and of the Devil. God Created music, but Satan can use it for his own purposes. That being said, I don't think these artists fall into the category of rock musicians. Praise the Lord!

I love to hear family members singing together, they have a special blend. So glad for the Grace of God, the Faithfulness of God, the Presence of God in our Lives!! God is not about bring storms into your Life, He is about bringing LIFE into your storm!! Sometimes He allows difficult times, even brokenness, so that we will surrender our all to Him, and find Him Faithful, find HIM our ALL in ALL. Singing with your eyes closed is a sign of watching too many music videos and trying to imitate them. Why do the old hymns have such deep doctrines compared to these shallow CCM songs? I think the old hymn writers really Knew GOD and walked with Him.

@@joannedeborahchisholm4048 Music is a combination of Melody, Harmony and Rhythm-in that order! When rhythm takes center stage in a musical piece, it becomes sensual. We must guard against that. God did create music, but the devil uses it for his means. As the old proverb says, "The devil can quote Scripture for his purpose." That applies to music as well. And adopting the devil's musical style for the music we use to Worship God is wrong. Period. That being said, the Rasmussens can hardly be considered mainstream CCM musicians. I have no trouble listening to their music, though various aspects are not preferable to me-for one, I don't prefer Guitar for music very much, as it's too easy to get into a rocky rhtyhm. Thus, I prefer Piano, Though I might just be biased since that's the instrument I play :)
