Lovely haul Laurie. Did not like the denim skirt at all. What a strange idea thinking a skirt that looks like cut up jeans would be popular. I also did not like the check fabric dress. It looked cheap I thought although the style was flattering. But the rest were all good choices. Most of us don’t get many chances to ‘dress up’ so showing items that are great for every day but can be elevated is certainly the way to go. Loving the autumn colours. X

Hi Laurie. Again i love everything on you. I wish I had a flat tummy like you as it gives more options for tucking in. I do sometimes do the front tuck, but never quite confident with it. I feel having that bit of belt that's on the slightly wide side on show can accentuate the waistline and give a slimming appearance. I really feel it helps. Maybe try that? xx

I like the denim skirt (in the us they call it a jeans skirt ) i have many in different colours ,if it too long you can always shorten it to the length you want, thats what i did with some of mine it would look nice with the denim shirt and the tank top

What a lovely haul, really like the cream skirt, very versatile. Not so keen on the denim skirt, it swamps you a bit length wise and like you, not a fan of the "leg" part on the front and back, just doesn't look right🤷. The check dress is very nice, does suit you very well.

Because I bought the same style skirt in black, but ordered size 12 but pettit, the length of the skirt is fine a midi I think & it looks & feels great, also the seam you are worried about doesn't look odd just looks like a seam of the skirt, hope this helps x

At 5ft1" I get so fed up with high rise jeans and trousers as the waistband comes up to my bra or a crotch down to my knees! Come on designers when something is "petite" the rise needs to be shortened too not just the leg length.

I don’t like the denim skirt because of that front/ back detail. It’s a shame. If it was just the length you could just chop off a couple of inches but secure the seams. I like the tee shirts and the styling you did with the light jeans. I ask liked the biscuit jumper. I ordered that in cream but took it back as I kept a puffa jacket that wasn’t much more. Now I wish I’d kept it but it wasn’t going to be warm enough without another layer, for me who is eternally cold.🥶 I do keep ordering things from m&s as they are still the most reasonably priced shop around. I don’t see things in my local shop but did just pick up some Eva bootcut jeans with 15% off. I’ve just ordered a burgundy slouchy bag as had an offer on bags. If you don’t do it quickly it’s gone. I’ll see what the leather is like and hopefully not too stiff. I must stop shopping 😆😉 .
