Its the traxxas way. Its more rewarding to build it yourself. Just sell the oem stuff new unused use that money to boost it from day 1

I paid 350 for rally vxl in 2016 which was cheap import from germany to eu other. I sold all of its electrics radio inc. Then the wheels and body slightly used. Then i had the roller for 90 all in and spent around 500 fast on upgrades which slash ultimate price was 500 new my rally was full mod. Mips. Gtr's vg spring. Tekno big bone. Proline mx28 on 17mm hexs two sets 10mm offset ones for 1/8 corvette body i didnt even paint. It was the best rc i ever had. Monster slash spec well used. Road spec never used 😢

Vg racing dual rate springs are springs are amazing would recommend. Also change the diff fluid makes the care feel so much better it comes stock with 50k front and rear and 100k center. I changed to 10k from and rear and 30k center.

I have done the extenders on both of my Maxx Slashes, will need to do the shock swap. I also have front and rear sway bars on my runner. Helps in my opinion, Mark confirms it. Thanks

the front end sits that way because it is a basher ;) approaching a ramp you are on the gas so the front is extended and when landing from big air it is better to have the chassis bottom out because it is built to handle that hit but not bottoming the chassis all the shock of bottoming out is transferred to your shock mounts instead and they can handle it a bit but not ideal

I have a question about the 6700 4s batt ! Did you have to modify Batt case to make it fit in carriage? Or was I not putting batt in correctly. The batt seemed to large to lock batt latch

Put a lower weight oil in rear shocks keep that bounce undercontrol .

I think after the problems with the slash catching air and front rising and flipping the car they decided to stiffen the rear shock so it doesn’t sag on power at the back stopping the car lifting at the front so much

I live near that school. I run my Rustler vxl there sometimes. Looking for advice. I want to get a second traxxas truck for bashing. I have 3s batteries to put in it. I know you said this one one is a bit of a handful with 6s but would you suggest to either run with one or two 3s batteries. I want something bigger than the rustler with more ground clearance. Thanks for any advice.

Dude! I've followed ya off and on for a while. Good stuff. Hey, Traxxas needs to do another run of Funny cars but with some updates. I would REALLY love to see what they could do with producing a TOP FUEL DRAGSTER. Bet they would sell out. Run another NHRA campaign. Just throwing it out there. What do you think?

The springs need to be slightly stiffer in the front from stock the rear needs to be stiffer to weight and torque is higher in the rear

Bashers to racers, i dont mind if i brake a rear shock piston or have major bind, In the front without a sway bar. And no one will help. Because bashers are fast. I am faster with bind than a well built car. The slash had its reasons to have a soft bound front end.
