While I didn't grow up with Tamiya, I did get an 02 kit. My local track has a carpet class I want to run in. I just have to change out the electronics for the rules and get a production body for it. I definitely like the kit better now that I swapped all the screws for her heads lmao!

In California, we race them all stock with bearings and a couple small aluminum upgrades like the center driveshaft. The R and SRX aren’t allowed in that class and would be a VTA and up race chassis at that point. Interested to see what you do with it.

The TT-02 SRX is the best value. I have one and it drives really well around the track. I have a Hobbywing 21.5 turn motor and it sticks to the track with USGT stock tires. The SRX will drive much better than a stock TT-02 without the hopups.

I’m racing in the TT-02 class at my local track but we aren’t aloud to use the R or the SRX to keep the racing more even and people don’t get priced out of the hobby cuz they can’t keep up with joe blow cuz he has the good stuff. Its super fun this way highly recommend

That MST car is garbage dude. AA batteries? what is this 1980 at Toys R us? The Kyosho are WAY cooler than the Tamiya. I'm also very interested in the new properly sized Super Sonic boat due to the size and self-righting but, it is WAY too shallow of a "V" hull, that's where they went wrong. A shallow "V" hull is just unstable garbage 99% of the time, especially for an "offshore" type race boat. Also, I'm definitely not a Traxxas fan, but one day I WILL have an XMAXX.
