I have this coat in green and it’s amazing! Defo worth the money, even if you pay the full £200 but as the gent has alluded to, you can pick up cheaper in the sales. Amazing quality and will keep you extremely warm & dry in the coming months.

Yes you can easily get them cheaper than full price in the sales however getting 1 in a colour that you want & in a size you need is like a pic n mix I.e. you might have to pick an alternative colour if the colour you want isn't available in the size you want....still though excellent quality jacket & far more affordable than something from TNF for example

Thanks for the detailed description. I am 5.7 feet & 717 inches in height & 40.157 inches is my chest. I've just ordered Bishorn II picotee Blue/Black in Medium size to test the winter in Hamburg Germany. That has been my home for over 25 year's now. Though I also have Jackwolveskin double Jacket & a North Face light rain Jacket. They're effective & light. But impractical under heavy downpour conditions & baltic Sea freezing gust in the winter. I wanted a Parka because my 1932 born late father & 1922 born uncle had it. Military version & of course English made back then because my uncle was in the Air force . Looking at the overall construction of the Craghoppers Parka in all practicality is very impressive indeed! Though many have remarked in regards to the very Parka of it's heavy weight. But it's uncompromisingly made to withstand the chilling winter of the Northern European zones. I assume so. I got mine for 139 euros. And that was the last piece in medium size. I was about to spend for Schöffel, Odlo, Decathlon or Helly Hansen. But then I was very fortunate to have come across the Craghoppers Bishorn II & that too by chance. While searching for a coat that can survive under Minus 5 Celsius temperature & also reasonably priced. 🤔💭Enough of my babbling.🤫

Glad you found the review useful. I used it in Iceland 🇮🇸 in minus 10 and it kept me very warm. I also used it in Ireland 🇮🇪 in pouring rain ☔️ and I was completely dry. Yes it is a little heavy, but a great winter parka. Enjoy. ATB Mark.

@@MarksGoneWalking Thank you for the rating Mark. It's very helpful. I frequently visit Norway & this 54 year's old with rheumatoid arthritis is hoping to keep warm in the coming months of winter again. Though I enjoy winter more than the wretched summer in lower Saxony area where I dwell namely Bergedorf. It's a countryside. And due to it's marshland kind of habitat. Sometimes it's humid during the height of the summer... Though the forests, brooks & the rivers around is nice & also the neighbours unlike in the central of Hamburg city where materialistic insanity & superficiality is likely to be more prominent.

I bought one of these to replace a ten year old North Face McMurdo which I loved. Half the price, half the weight, a better fit and just as warm. Would totally recommend this jacket.

Hi Mark! I’ve just put this up and thought you might enjoy it as it features somewhere you went to not long ago and was blown away by too! I am working Waitrose full time now which has made a world of difference as I have no one in my current bubble. No filters at all on any of the shots! Hope all are well at your end, Paul FALLEN STAR TRACK #4 “ PILLS AND POWDERS “ Home Demo recording 1997

I got this jacket in grey & it has an orange liner in it which looks scruffy when it gets dirty because it's a difficult jacket to clean without messing it up.....I originally wanted the orange version which is the same as yours I tried to get it in the sales but they didn't have my size only sizes were XL & S I use a size M I also find that the zippers on the pockets stick too easily but? overall YES it's an excellent parka for the money & I'm still trying to get another.....only colours available at the moment are olive green with black shoulders navy blue & also all black

Thanks for watching; great coat for the price. I see they have brought out a version 2 now with the black shoulder panels. If I go for another I prob get one in green. Also had a grey version which I gave to a homeless guy during lockdown; thought his need was greater than mine. Thanks for watching. ATB Mark.

I've got one, against my better judgement having been let down by other craghoppers gear in the past and I never really rated this either. First off, I'm xl in most clothing but this was very short in the arm for xl. It's also very heavy and therfore not good at all for walking, OK for standing around watching sport for example. The waterproof rating is only 10000, which is bog standard and therfore doesn't offer high performance on that front. Then there's the build quality, Craghoppers build quality has gone significantly downhill over the years and is no longer what I'd call performance outdoor gear any longer, more an outdoor fashion brand for people who aren't that fashionable. To give an example of build quality, because of the weight of the jacket and inconsistent fit, I've only worn it a handful of times, as a result of wearing it sparingly the clear inner map pocket managed to get itself torn while carrying nothing in it, and the outer pocket linings developed holes having only used the outer pockets to put my hands in! This jacket promises much but delivers very little. Absolutely not worth the initial £200 price tag, in fact I'd pay nowhere near that. I got mine in green, and not the god awful red shown in this video, for 90 quid and after owning for a couple of years I don't think it's worth the £90 that I paid. You'd be better off going for a goretex shell a size bigger than your normal and wearing something warm underneath that, rather than taking advice from someone who rates craghoppers and buys it in bright red!

Like I said earlier 👍 I could sure use a Artic jacket with the weather I'm having around here now 😜 Last Night there was an Ice storm, early this morning there was an accident on the freeway...133 vehicles, 36 injured and 6 deceased 😔 All this will not end until the 18th....maybe 😲

Hi Ray - that’s terrible news to hear; just awful 😞 hope it warms up soon.

@@MarksGoneWalking Hey there Mark 🙋♂️ Yeah it was a bad situation 😔 Naturally there is raw video footage of it on YT 😲 People were going way...way to fast for the conditions 👍 This weather will be around for at least 7 more days, Sunday night...there might be 3-8" of snow on the ground by morning, the temp for Tuesday morning will be 6* F 😲 That will be an all time record low temp for this area 😜 I hope it warms up soon also 👍

Considered it but felt in hand, too heavy, weight. Saw them in sale for £69.99 last year. The red looks awesome & has like x12 pockets or such. Can't really go wrong with Craghoppers.

Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Absolutely love this coat; but I’m with you on the weight; bit of an event when you’re wearing it; made for wrapping up warm not waking up mountains. ATB Mark.
