Hi what Brand name you got this time,I have same issue,just replaced the upper hand lower front control arms and not 6 months have passed and the driver's side got bad already.

everything was ok but one thing u have to remember and if you don't do it it will mess up ur control arm in matter of time so when u change the control arm make sure u need to put another jack under that control arm and lift it up as much as u can till u feel the car is getting lifted from the stand then u tight the bolt the one in the chase side. why because that the point when u bring the car down with tires the bushing its not under pressure. but if you don't do it and tighten the bolt when u put the tire u r making the busing under stretch and stress and that why u will need another one in matter of 3 months hope this will help u

Anyone tried to use m3 or other model control arm to gain more camber?

Nice little guide there, i have already had a garage do the front radius arms but now these lower control arms need doing too so I'm going to just do it myself. BTW that little arm is to control the auto headlight leveling, there is another one on the rear lower arm on the same side.

Fantastic video! Thank you... I'm doing this in the next couple of days, was a bit nervous, but full of optimism now 😬 Torque specs I have (other than BT) are 165nm on the bushing end, 100nm + 90deg on the balljoint end. Does that seem right? I have ramps now too, so will do the final ball joint torque with full weight/wheel on. Cheers from across the ditch!

Do you not need to put load on the suspension before you tighten the bolt through the rubber bush? Id have thought you do otherwise there will be too much undue pressure on the rubber
@Marksreviewsandtutorials5 жыл бұрын
The rubber doesn't take the force of the tension at either end. The nuts tighten down onto steel.

@@harmosm1084 Standard procedure on any bush that is part of a pivot point, not just BMW's, unless of course you have poly bushes in which case just torque up and you're done.

Would a bt torque snap the bolt. After snapping few bolts im scared to tighten anything now.
@Marksreviewsandtutorials3 жыл бұрын
Suspension parts have to cope with pot holes and lots of pressure and torsion. So the bolts and components are very strong. That being said people who work on cars lots get a feel for how tight things need to be. I also want to stat that torquing is important and should be followed MRT

@@Marksreviewsandtutorials thank you. Planning on doing control arm. Frontward, rearward, sway bar links, and sway bar bushing. Seems easy enough. Thanks for the video.
