I remember being a little girl and listening to Christian radio with my dad, and hearing John MacArthur say, "Abba does not mean 'daddy,'" and, "We are slaves in Christ." Those words pierced my heart. I don't want to incite a theological debate, but I am SO glad the Lord woke me up to the bondage of Calvinism that horribly distorted Gods's character. My dad had this same spirit and was horribly Narcissistic, abusive, and performance-based. I praise God for your videos. ❤

I agree I'm sure there's lots of good in what McArthur brings out but Theological perfection only gets us so far ! I have wounded myself and others in trying to drive holiness but lots of it has been in my own strength I need the balance of grace and love of God. Please forgive and help me Lord to be a lover of Father Son and Spirit not a self righteous fool

Brother, you get to the heart. I have experienced moments and seasons of true sonship and freedom. Your insight and experience are helping me learn how to remain and keep the chains off. I'm tired, this understanding is helpful for rest. God...Abba...Dad...Love.

Sadly, a lot of pastors in the US don't understand that. Lots of sermons just try to make you guilty and inadequate. There is always an explanation why things are not happening. If you really analyze sermons, they are always telling that you are doing something wrong. Pastors say that you are not praying enough, not worshiping enough, not serving enough, not giving enough, not forgiving enough, not believing enough, and so on. It is all based on performance. I am really careful with the pastors I listen too. Many pastors trying to manipulate people with fear to control people. The other day I was having a wonderful day and decided to listen to a pastor I didn't know. The sermon made me miserable. That is what many pastors do. They try to make you feel miserable. Some are jealous if you are doing well and prospering. Many pastors try to put people in bondage.

I can totally relate to that 🙈 i really need the love of the father. Can someone help me how to make that practical? I have a slave mindset that hits me everyday and torments me. The feelings of not being enough for God and the people that are close to me are very strong. It’s very hard to accept myself and receive the love and approval from God and even other people that I love. How to make these things practical? I really need to renew my mind because I notice that there is so much rejection inside of me but I don’t know how to let those freeing words into my heart 🙈

I know I am seeing these months later so I pray that things are going well but just remember GOD has been down this path already everything is going to be ok. If GOD thought for a moment that this path would lead to hell he would have taken you off. He is a Way Maker and a Chain Breaker!

Do less first of all. Tell yourself that God is near despite what you are feeling. When people compliment you, say thank you and marinate on that compliment as if it was from Daddy God himself.

Wow I took notes and I am so on the left side of the board. I believe that all my struggles and addictions have to do with the slave mentality and not knowing and. believing in my Heavenly Father. It is such a fight that there was warfare even in trying to get through the message. Thank you and please add me to your prayer list. I want your work to be a part of my victory into knowing once and for all that I too am a beloved son of the Father and He loves me without fail. Thank you and shalom!

If I were writing fiction, I could imagine a Divine voice saying, “They’re supposed to be Loving you, Nourishing you . . . and instead they’re Condemning you. They’re supposed to be the one House that is always Safe and can always be Trusted . . . and instead they Betray your Trust & Hope, becoming Adversaries & Enemies of your most vulnerable & Sacred place: Your Heart.” The story would go on to reveal how the Lesser Salvation is from the “slave to inner/personal choices (moving away-from the light)” [as we are as readily-forgiven, in Divine eyes, as a human parent forgives their five-year-old] . . . while the Greater Salvation is from ~that which~ keeps children of the Divine from truly Thriving & Shining, and these Structures are external: in-families, in-communities, in-schools, in-workplaces, in-churches, in-customs, etc., and even embedded ontologically in-languages. In this story, the Greater Salvation, and the true Joy at receiving such, is from Liberation-from distorted systems which one wasn’t even aware of as operative (and alive) in obfuscating, obstructing and opposing Thriving & Shining in any substantial measure, as the Divine *intended* for children who are to share the same Father as the Ascended Christ. In this story, the Great Crime is keeping children on the Cross (which the Roman created . . . for-death . . . and horror-instruction) literally crucified with Christ (over and over again with each & every generation), while the Living Christ Ascended appears to have been quietly placed in the shoebox labeled “angels, demons, nephilim & the supernatural.” When anthropologists return from a survey, looking for evidence of the Ascended Christ in populations, they have difficulty finding more than negligible differences between the religious and the secular . . . but were able to see, quite vividly, a remarkable number of children killing themselves, certainly an Inversion of Christ Ascended if there ever was one.

This is SO GOOD! Mark...you are so articulate. I thoroughly enjoy listening to your ministry. I only wish you were local to me as (Australia) so I could receive your counsel in person. I DESPERATELY want to be able to RECEIVE/ACCEPT the love/sonship of our heavenly Father completely. I have believed this has been my fundamental issue crippling my life. Theres a belief deep down that theres something wrong with me no matter what...I NEED the counter belief?!

Wow... I have ticked yes to every one of these things on the slave mindset list. I'm happy to know...not going to put myself under pressure so I can be "fixed" but will embark on this journey of healing to an acceptance of sonship. I heard the Holy Spirit tell me I'm behaving like an orphan, which puzzled me at first since I am so good at "doing." Having to constantly fend for yourself the idea of adoption is foreign because you never had anyone had your back, so you thin the solution is to become self sufficient

23:58- but Mark, what if someone just needs someone to be with them but not to say anything? If someone is not reachable because they twist our words, isn't it because they grew up in a critical home, not because they don't want healing?

The Holy spirit cannot be bought. (Acts 8:20) But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. Teaching people about having a relationship with God is great but knowing people desperately want to know God and making them buy your book to receive what Jesus Christ did for free is wrong.
