2024 Return Trip On Mississippi River 9/20/24

First trip since January.

Welcome back, Capt Kyle. Good to see you back on the water. Vicksburg sure is a pretty place to go through and that cemetery was awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing more beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Can't believe how low that water is! Have a safe trip. Love seeing your puppies.

I actually had assumed it was up more as well, but this has been the trend as of past few years. I don’t overthink it with these year to year trends, but in my career I have seen the changes related to climate change…. be it human caused or natural causes. 👍🏻

Vicksburg has a nice downtown. The Mississippi River used to flow past downtown Vicksburg but the river course was redirected in 1876.

I just learned that yesterday. The old channel is where the Yazoo River is located nowadays. I have a much better understanding of that area now. 👍🏻

“Sailor” is year and half old male yorkiepoo (momma was poodle, daddy was yorkie)

Sailor is not as even tempered as Piper (golden doodle). I wouldn’t trust him unsupervised around kids, yet. Neither one sheds or has pet dander, as wife has allergies. But they are groomed every three weeks so they don’t get matted coats. They are like having two stuffed blankets/teddy bears in bed. Lol

I do enjoy what I do… but I enjoy being at home with my wife and loved ones much more. It’s all about perspective. I try to find the joy and wonder in anything I do. That said, I’ve had times in my life that I didn’t enjoy or appreciate things at all, at home or on the river. I like the types of perspectives I have nowadays. 👍🏻👍🏻

Missed a lot with family; however can't take that away from what you are doing for our country - Keep it all in perspective. Your skill and trade needs to be passed down to the next generation.

Just as a supplemental protein intake. I don’t use it as replacement for balanced diet. I’m just trying to build muscle and whey protein is good for that when I’m training. They are really all about the same. I like easy mixing and flavors of ISO brand protein.
