Interesting to see what happens in the future, have dealt with the three vendors mentioned. Especially interesting to see what will happen with device architecture and command line.

Spot on, cod! I am stoked about this too. 🥳 I am not too familiar with Junipers portfolio so I'm curious, what specifically interests you about the device architecture and command line?
@cod06

@@TechEnthusiastInc Juniper has their own unique command syntax, while hp and aruba have a command line more like Cisco. I'm wondering if Juniper will lose their OS and command line interface and their hardware lineup will be customized to hp? What will happen to hp and aruba syntax when it comes to configuration?
@TechEnthusiastInc

And is it your opinion that Junipers syntax is better? These are the good questions that we don't have answers yet. However, based on numerous comments by Antonio Neri and Rami Rahim, I do believe that they will be reasonable about integrating these three companies together. I mean, if one company's tech is clearly better, they will go with that, even if it means stepping on someone's toes. But...these are always tough and political decisions and for that reason it could go either way. Let's just keep our fingers crossed that the best tech and customers win! 🤞🤞

@@TechEnthusiastInc I think both approaches are not bad, each has its pros and cons, but I've always liked the juniper approach.

not true that companies overlap, on the ISP/service provider/data center Juniper is ahead of aruba. Technology behind JunOS is superior.

Agreed, Marcin. And as I mention in the video, my first reaction was that Juniper and Aruba are very similar, I didn't see the rationale behind this deal right away. And talking to people, that seemed to be the view most shared. However, taking a closer look at both companies, it got clear to me that these two companies complement each other more than overlap. And that's the main point I wanted to deliver with this video. Very much looking forward to what comes out of this!

HPE will NEVER be at the level of CISCO. The merger has nothing to do with delivering value to customers. Instead, it is about two failing companies in the networking market seeking to survive and hold on to eroding market share while squeezing more money from customers' pockets. Ubiquiti has entered the enterprise space, offering genuine SDN and ease of deployment and management.

You are right, Cisco will be tough to beat. But I am sure not many think that HPE-Juniper-Aruba would be "at the level of Cisco", growing as big as them...at least anytime soon. But I am quite certain that the new 10B triple team will become a viable option against the 60B behemoth in many negotiations in the future - especially with AI related conversations. And it is quite clear to me that that was the real reason HPE is acquiring Juniper; to boost their AI story going into the future. When HPE combines Juniper/Aruba networking with Cray supercomputers, Proliant servers, NVIDIA co-op, the innovative Alletra MP storage and GreenLake...end result can be something quite spectacular. So, not sure if the target of this acquisition is "being at the level of Cisco" in traditional networking. But I would be very interested in hearing why HPE and Juniper are "failing companies" in your opinion?

Will HPE Beat Cisco in 2030 with Ezmarel Axis Juniper Aruba Mist all together called AI Security Networks They have iLO for more security for ProLaint And Aletra So Networks plus Server will be future While Cisco dont have server (maybe) HPE GreenLake will have Junipers OPEN Ran HPE GreenLake will be king of Cloud in 2030 Ezmarel will be king of AI Aruba with acquired Juniper will be king of Networks Axis is maybe same as commvault

That’s an interesting scenario. 😉 Remains to be seen. But I agree, no-one else on the market has even close to as strong compute+networking combo as HPE after this deal closes. HPE is basically alone in that category. And with this acquisition HPE will take a huge leap forward with its quest to become a) the fourth cloud and b) a dominant player in enterprise tech AI. Super interesting times!

Same thought, Juniper has RoCE to combine Ethernet and infiniband for routing, so it’s a good deal from IOT to cloud infrastructure from greenlake services.

Hi Eric! Interesting. Why do you think Juniper is dead?
@morphkaian
@morphkaian 5 ай бұрын
@@TechEnthusiastIncit's not dead, Mist as you mentioned is the goal. It would be terrible to alienate either Aruba or Juniper fans. It takes years for changes to be made to phase out products if that ever happens.
@TechEnthusiastInc
@TechEnthusiastInc 5 ай бұрын
Totally agree. Both, Aruba and Juniper have their dedicated fan bases and it is going to be the most difficult task for HPE to execute the merger in a way that both continue to be happy. Having said that, there were a lot of sceptics about the HPE-Aruba merger too but HPE managed to do stellar job with that - one of the great success stories in the industry. But it will be a few notches more difficult this time. The easiest would be to let both of them continue to live their own lives (just add 'a HPE company' under each logo) but that's not what's going to happen, that is not what HPE spent $14B on. It is clear that HPE wants to integrate Mist into everything as soon as at all possible. And I want to see that too! Mist is awesome tech. But doing that will complicate the dynamics of the three companies. Finally, I am certain that the plans to integrate Mist into HPE and Aruba portfolios are already far. I would not be surprised...let me rephrase that...I am _expecting_ that at the time they announce closing of the deal, they will also announce big news about that integration.

@@TechEnthusiastInc I totally 100% disagree. A year after HPE took over aruba, they LOCKED me out of being able to download firmware for my aruba switches and wireless controller, disassociated my hwid from their portal and now all I see is NO ENTITLEMENTS. FUCK HP. I cant even download old firmware for my switches and not even my current firmware.

@@TechEnthusiastInc I 100% disagree with you. HPE locked me out of being able to download firmware for my existing Aruba switches firmware, made my existing entitlements for my wireless controller disappear, deleted the documentation, etc. That's not stellar. They totally screwed me. They also disassociated my HWID's from their portal as if I never was a customer. The first year was fine and I was able to download firmware and license files but now its like I was never even a customer. Not stellar. Nobody wants to fix it because I don't have a service contract with HPE. 50k down the drain as an individual and a business owner and im literally still paying that credit card balance. Yeah, totally friggin stellar.
