Hi Markus. Great videos by the way. Hey will you have a video about HPE Greenlake Lighthouse and what´s the difference or better from HPE Greenlake? Is it a different product/service or an evolution? What if I bought HPE Greenlake 1 year ago... what can I do with Lighthouse that I can´t do with what I bought 1 year ago?

Hi Chris! Great question. I am not surprised about the confusion since there's so much happening about Greenlake these days. I most certainly should make a video about Lighthouse but meanwhile, let me try to explain. So, GreenLake is an umbrella brand for everything HPE is doing around as-a-service business and cloud in general. That includes consumption based pricing, cloud management and multiple services that aim for convenience of using IT. Now, Lighthouse is just a part of Greenlake offering, it is not replacing anything. Lighthouse is a rack full of pre-packaged hardware+software+licenses+services. HPE delivers the whole stack to customers and they just apply power, connect it to the network and BOOM, you have a private cloud ready to deploy apps. Then, you can add more Lighthouses and it all acts as one. The hardware and software consists of familiar Proliants, Alletras and Ezmerals so it is just the ready-to-use packaging that's new. The concept is exactly the same as what AWS is doing with Outposts or what Microsoft is doing with Azure Stack Hub (if you are familiar with those solutions) with the difference that Lighthouse doesn't have the public cloud aspect to it, the "Lighthouse cloud" is completely comprised of on-prem Lighthouses but if public cloud is needed, you can extend your enviroment to public cloud with HPE Ezmeral...like with Ezmeral in general. Hope this helps.
