Mark, your Syria series is probably my favorite series (of many great series). Not so much for the food (which includes too much meat for me), but for everything else. For sharing the wonderful hospitability of the Syrian people with us ! For showing us an honest insight into Syria, without being overally negative, but also without closing your eyes to the loss and atrocities of so many years of civil war. And with your usual wonderful kindness and tolerance for other cultures, mentalities and religions. The world would be a much better place, with more people like you, Ying and Micah !

You're not seeing any free Syrian people in this video. It was made before Bashar al Assad was toppled. Bashar and his father Hafez were both anti-american. That's why it was Russians bombing the Syrian people. Why do you think the Syrian government paid for Mark to make this propaganda movie, which makes it look like the stories of chemical weapons, barrel bombs, Russian bombing, thousands dying from torture in the regimes prisons were all lies because how could Syria look so nice if they were true. To portray Syria in this way, whitewashing the cruelty of the regime by making it look wonderful when it wasn't is pretty despicable.

@@OhioGuy216 It's old content. I have seen this video before because I recognised that guide he was with and the places they visited and even remembered some of the things the guide said and did. Don't be fooled by youtubers who think people won't remember if they put videos out that they put out months before. 100% this is an old video.

Großartig! Ein unglaublich beeindruckendes Video! Weit, weit mehr als nur Street-Food aus Syrien. Ein wichtiger Beitrag zur Völkerverständigung. Ab jetzt ist das Motto von Mark: I travel for food and peace! Ganz herzliche Grüße aus München, Germany
