Field Marshall, The Irish Brigade always wore red coats. The French wore white as stated. Sorry, only came across this a year later.

Man I just can’t even legit put into words how thankful I am and how awesome this is that your making these videos. Doing great work my guy keep it up! I’m really excited to have the entire war detailed on KZbin. It really deserves it. It’s so underrated and unknown that’s it really bums me out and so I can only say again thank you so much!

Once again an excellent video, I am truly enjoying this series. Especially interesting to me I only about the war itself but the areas where the battles were fought in Flanders and in Germany. For six years I lived in Belgium, near Mons. As I would drive around these areas I would think to myself, a great battle was fought here. Unfortunately the Europeans don’t provide much information for the tourist. I think you should organize a field trip to the areas of these great battles.

In all the battles of the War of the Spanish Succession, Queen Anne's troops consisted mostly of German mercenaries, then of Scots and Irish and a very small proportion of English and Welsh, which Marlbourough used only when the day was already won. Blenheim and Ramillies were more Dutch and German than English.

Nice video! I'm not very read into the War of the Spanish Succession, but it seems to me like the allies (Dutch, English, Prussian, Danish, Hanoverian, etc) were just better than their French counterpart; as if 60,000 vs 60,000 would generally favour the allies.
@FieldMarshalYT
@FieldMarshalYT Жыл бұрын
I do think the allies were generally more well-lead in most battles. However in Spain this wasnt the case, and by 1709 the French slowly started becoming more than equal in the Flanders campaigns.

The family was created in the 900s, in the town of Bourbon-L'Archambault. It was a small domain of a not very powerful lord at first. The name therefore comes from this town It therefore took several centuries before having a member who became King of France (Henry IV)

The maps are poor. You need to highlight which troops you are speaking of. Another point, Marlborough, I don't think he was a Duke whilst fighting ?? Not sure. Was it not John Churchill who was later ennobled by a grateful Queen after the event ?
