Man, Marley is the first cat to make me start paying attention to producers. Meaning I would go to the record store LOOKING for his name. If I saw "M. Marl" on the label that shit was as good as bought. No questions asked.

Thank you so much for this series. That Boom bap sound and the simplicity of good music is something that has gotten lost in todays gimmicks. I recently purchased ableton and launchpad. Its crazy that for under $200 you can make your own shit. I pray for the day we take hip hop back for clear channel and these other corporations.

Most people credit Dr. Dre as the greatest hip Hop producer, BUT without you & your innovative productions, ALOT of these producers wouldn't be where they are today!! Marley was the FIRST to do most of the the things Hip Hop producers do today!! Marley Marl.....TRAILBLAZER!!

I'm gonna keep it Real... I grew up in the South Bronx During that time. "The Bridge is over" was a Monster Hit on the streets and in Hip Hop clubs during those days.... You had to rock with it!!! But me being a true Hip Hop Head.... I feel that "The Bridge" was Made Extremely well. Music wise.... its Way better than "The bridge is Over". A true Hip Hop Song from beginning to end. 9:02... shit get Real!!! 💪💪💪💪
