I don't get how EVERY eldian is blamed by Marley for the 1900 year reign. We don't know much about the past of Eldians after Marley started brainwashing everyone but Grisha had uncovered a LOT of evidence to prove that the Titans helped build bridges, roads, houses and basically at one point weren't holding Marleyans captive as slaves but actually building a society to blend both of them together (Season 2 Ed) , they did terrible things yes, but it was war, both of the sides had unforgivable hatred against each other before the titan powers and all Eldia did was use their powers for the best of their own people. The argument that Marley makes is how Eldia forced them into bearing their own children, makes it all even worse if it's true, cuz that means they're most probably torturing a lot of innocent lives who had nothing to do with oppressing Marleyans which are literally the descendants of their ancestors and are related by blood. Most important to note is that the Eldians converted their own people into pure titans which are controlled by the founder, so anything that the Eldians wasn't in their free will but all the blame goes to the titans possessing the Founder. Only the Royal family should be blamed for its' crimes and the Eldians living in the walls dod nothing wrong and neither did their ancestors. It's just one-sided war initiated by Marley's hatred and vengeance because they felt insulted.

This is why Isayama is a genius because as the anime goes on. It will probably get harder to see Eren as the good guy. AoT doesn’t give you a definitive good guy and bad guy which is why we love it

The officers deserved whatever they got. The normal people didn't. The higher ups have been brain washing them into thinking how Paradis islands was full of devils and how they lived a lavish life behind their walls while Marley was fighting bloody wars for its survival. They had to live with that propaganda all their lives so you can't really blame them for thinking of them as such.. Plus those civilians have nothing to do with the mindless titans on the island that were responsible for everything bad that transpired in Paradis.

The difference between them are just ginormous, both coming from a place where lives were taken, but still both are so different, the survivors come with victory cheerfully, the music is happy and exciting, there is glory and no place to remind the dead, but in Paradis is silent, the dead are the most loud ones, they are the ones screaming to those who survived filled with guilt. It is just so incredible
